Fey Takes On Palin, Take TwoPosted on Sep 28, 2008
“Saturday Night Live” alumna Tina Fey returned once again to fulfill her comedic duty on the Sept. 27 episode of NBC’s comedy show, spoofing Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin’s one-on-one interview with CBS anchor Katie Couric earlier in the week. Fey’s fellow “SNL” comedian Amy Poehler dropped her Hillary Clinton act to play Couric in this clip.

Palin would belong on American Idol but she can’t sing either so, both that stage and the White House are out of reach. Or should be anyway. But don’t underestimate the number of Americans that believe she’s just like them ... attractive, out going, malignantly over-positive and proudly under-versed.

I think the repubs put her name in with the belief THAT SHE WOULD DECLINE…But-SHE LOVES THE SPOTLIGHT and she saw a way to “out” her views and beliefs[shove it down our throats]...She WAS SUPPOSED TO DECLINE THE NOMINATION-GRACEFULLY-......Instead-SHE STARTED RUNNING HER MOUTH…That is what happens when you put “lipstick on a pit bull” in a “position of power”.....

The news these days is just entertainment and she’s the perfect story.
The ‘Thrilla from Wasilla’.
She’ll be in Debate Camp all week.
Katie Couric is her sparring partner.
Call the kids and get out the popcorn.

What in the world were the Republican puppeteers who chose her thinking? “Let’s find a total idiot who looks just like Tina Fey!” I guess the Mr. Bean look alike was just too liberal.

Obama will win this election and he is not fool.
Americans are disgusted with the Republicians and McCains’ handling of this campaign and his idiot choice of a running mate are quite telling.
Let me make this clear however.
IF election machines start to break down in key states again like they did when Bush Gore ran, then America will revolt and it will NOT be nice. There is NO EXCUSE FOR THAT CRAP TO HAPPEN AGAIN. GO BACK TO PAPER BALLOTS THAT DO NOT HAVE SHARDS.
I am really admant about this issue, this country, every state better have a backup system that is sound to avoid what happened during the Bush/Gore election. If not there will be a riot.

The poll might lean toward the Democratss but I believe that a lot of Democrats watched the debate.
If the election is not stolen, there are more Democrats registered to vote than Republicians.
The most telling thing about the debate is John avoided eye contact all the time not just when he was reading his notes, of course Obama’s eye contact was not allways on McCain he looked out and over at Jim.
May the best candidate win, and exxperience in war is not where most interests lie, my main concern is the economy.
I am not an investor, but I know that this economy will hit the person with the lowest income before it affects the person who makes over 100,000.00.

Thank you too, Grammaconcept. I was alerted this a.m. by a non-Truthdigger that the media also did not cover the huge rally in Alaska so I did some research and here are my findings. This is the extent of the coverage I found that may be added to yours.

The scariest thing is that Fey’s palin (my lower case) character makes more sense than the governor herself. And when I saw palin being interviewed by Katie Couric, I thought I was watching another Fey spoof. And I, too, love soccer moms; I just don’t want them with their lacquered fingers on that red doomsday button.

I have been following this campaign very closely and I am just beside myself with contempt as to how Senator McCain handles himself as it relates to his VP selection and trying to take credit for “Leadership” in the Bail Out Negotiations.
Senator McCain touts how he puts country first and yet in selecting a running mate he insults women voters by selecting Gov Palin who in all honesty seems to be out of her league. Now should something happen to Senator McCain (if elected) we are saddeled with this woman and I truly believe that our country would go to Hades in a hand basket.
Sen McCain has been all over the place during his campaign which makes me question his stability at this point. This guy is scary and angry…always wanting to go to war and making inappropriate jokes about bombing.

about this sketch is that they’ve used a part of her actual response to Katie’s question!? I mean, governor Palin is only five days away from the single most important presentation in her entire political career and she’s still clueless like I am when it comes to math! That is a BIG trouble and it’s even worse because this woman is running for the second highest office in the country!!!
Guess those index cardz she used weren’t really that helpful after all. Maybe improved, electronic version - the Study Cardz - might do better this time? Here’s a tip, honey, http://www.studycardz.com
Honestly, I cannot wait for the vice presidential debate on Thursday! I hope Ms. Palin does her best and demonstrates her fabulousness once again.

It is evident that things have not worked out like Senator McCain thought.
It took less time than I thought for Governor Palin to make Dan Quayle look good.
Maybe Governor Palin will come down with a bad case of the flu or have to rush home to tend to her daughter who has a bad case of morning sickness.
I am reminded of a line from the movie the American President. The country has serious issues and needs serious people and candidates and Governor Palin’s 15 minutes of fame are over.
Go back to tending the State of Alaska, your family, write a book and bask in glory of you having been a VP candidate.

Read between the fine lines of the CNN article titled “Round 1 in debates goes to Obama, poll says.”
The headline makes one think,“Wow, Obama won the debate.” What they don’t tell you till the very end of the article is the specific numbers; 41% of the respondents are Democrats and only 27% are Republicans and 30% independents. Of course Democrats, being the majority, are going to say Obama won! DUH.
Yet only 51% respondents (remember most of the respondents are Democrats) said Obama won. Hummm that makes me think that Obama only won in the eyes of Democrats and barely won at that.
If you’re going to do a slanted poll, then you really shouldn’t post a headline that makes the reader at a glance believe Obama simply won the debate. It’s just an example of the media doing what they are not supposed to do…manipulate the news and deliver an agenda. Just not fair. Does anyone else Democrat or Republican have an opinion about this subject in general?

Mad Dog Palin by Matt Taibbi, RollingStone.com. Posted September 27, 2008 via AlterNet at http://www.alternet.org/election08/100551/?page=entire is an article worth noting everywhere possible. Here are a couple of typical paragraphs, but it is even more revealing in its entirety and I strongly urge you to take the time to read it then pass it on to your every voting relative and friend. An excerpt:
Sarah Palin is a symbol of everything that is wrong with the modern United States. As a representative of our political system, she’s a new low in reptilian villainy, the ultimate cynical masterwork of puppeteers like Karl Rove. But more than that, she is a horrifying symbol of how little we ask for in return for the total surrender of our political power.
Not only is Sarah Palin a fraud, she’s the tawdriest, most half-assed fraud imaginable, 20 floors below the lowest common denominator, a character too dumb even for daytime TV -and this country is going to eat her up, cheering her every step of the way. All because most Americans no longer have the energy to do anything but lie back and allow ourselves to be jacked off by the calculating thieves who run this grasping consumer paradise we call a nation.
This can only reflect on the inability of John McCain to make rational choices and decisions. Of course, we don’t think for a minute he made this choice on his very own. Who do you suppose is providing the money for his candidacy?
Tina Fey is a brilliant woman who understands keenly what is at stake in this election.
But someone like keny below is naive, misguided, or working for the Republicans. The addlepating effect of totalitarian regimes as found in Nigeria.

In my own opinion I will ask Oboma to withdraw from the election because I do not want an innocent man like him to be blamed for the collapse of American empire. From my own point of view I think America has reached it climax just like other big empires before America. From this debate I can understand that majority of Americans love war so much otherwise I do not understand why McCain can still have supporters, knowing fully well that he is a war monger and contributed a lot to the American present economic situation. But let me advise America there are two traps set for you which I pray you do not plunge into it, the trap is Iran and Russia this may lead to the collapse of your empire, most of Europe countries are no longer happy with your incessant wars which has brought them bad relationship with the middle east, take example from Spain that withdrew their troops from Iraq. You will realize this when you start up another war.
Report thisSpain example is a warning. NATO OR NO NATO. Peace with your enemy is the only way to avoid this calamity. Read the hand writing on the wall, you are being circled by your enemies. South America, Canada, Cuba are all against you. With peace and diplomacy I am sure you will get osama bin laden and also defeat terrorism but with aggression you may find it impossible. Listen to your former secretaries even though Mr. kissinger carwordly denied what he said when he was pressed by the lady to clarify his statement. Do not because of pride or ego get into what you cannot handle. McCain is too dangerous to rule America for now. He will bring more problems to you. Europe your NATO members do not like him, middle east do not like him, your neighbour in American continent do not like him, Asia do not like him even Africa does not like him. If you put him into power honestly you will be man alone. keny, a christian from Nigeria
