Campbell Brown

The CNN anchor has had enough of the McCain campaign “treating Sarah Palin like she is a delicate flower that will wilt at any moment.”

Truthseeker4all, I can definitaly see your point that Campbell Brown was and is one of the few mainstream journalists to call out the McCain Campaign for cuddling Sarah Palin from the media while at the same time saying she’s ready to be a heart beat away from the Presidency. I just disagree with Campbell Browns repeated claims of “sexism” and “chauvinism” on the part of the McCain Campaign; which may fit the “weak” Woman stereotype for those that believe in it. In reality the McCain Camp is just shielding an inexperienced-not-bright-enough-to-be-Vice-President-let-al one-President who happens to be a Woman, which they think will allowing them to take some of the energy and voters from the Hillary Campaign while shoring up the Right Wing/Christian Fundamentalist Base at the same time taking away some of the Obama Campaign’s “novelty” away.

I’m sure Palin’s candidacy has really mobilised Hundreds of Thousands of Conservative White Women like no other candidate in the Histroy of US elections. I’m also sure the effect has been great for the Horny Conservative Male Vote as well.

I believe you are right.  The McCain camp doesn’t want Palin speaking to the media because she can’t add value, and might actually hurt the campaign.

That said, who cares.  McCain is “playing” the media, and Campbell is the first reporter to scream FOUL. I applaud her for it.

Campbell Brown has no idea what she’s talking about, the McCain Campaign isn’t letting her talk to the press because of what she might say-she has no idea what she’s talking about and doesn’t understand basic current events that any Junior High Student could if they watched at least half an hour a day of almost any Major News Broadcast Program, NOT because she’s a women. In her interview with Charlie Gibson, she exhibited her lack of knowledge of basic political current events, i.e. what the Bush Doctrine is etc. Isn’t she a Republican? As well as hinting that she was Foriegn Policy experience ( at least with Russsia? ) because from somewhere in Alaska you can actually see Russia; though she did not say if she had ever physically been to that part of Alaska ( I believe it’s an island ) and by the way we may need to enter into a war with Russia (over Georgia, with our Nato Allies ) as well as both Iran and Pakistan! Within the past 2 or 3 weeks since she’s been announced as McCain’s running mate, she’s pretty much stated the same speech with the same sound bites, “Thanks but no Thanks” over and over like a parrot. And the McCain Campaign has the obvious wisdom to know that she is not ready for any truly random questions until they feel they drilled her enough on all the possible questions that the Liberal Media might throw at her. Which is also a sign the McCain Campaign ManagersIllusionists could cared less what her actually opinion is or even if she has one or know enough to not to have one. Whenever she has been “interviewed” she seems like a deer in the headlights, talking like she’s filling in the blank to a verbal ad-lib. Except for the hour long Infomercial on Fox News she looks totally out of place talking about anything substantial Domestic or Foreign, and I’m sure Fox News pre-vetted all the questions with the McCain Campaign and probably even gave them say in the final edit. And did anyone else notice during that interview how ever 20 or 30 seconds they would quickly splice in a low camera angle focusing on her legs throughout the whole freaking 60 minute long interview. That was a lot more sexist than anything Campbell Brown mentioned, but then again you do have to give something stimulating to keep the interest of most Men and Lesbians besides the rehearsed enunciation of future sound bites.

Finally!  Someone said it.  Thank you.  I’d also like to add that she shouldn’t be interviewed with kid gloves.  Katie Couric seems to have done a fine interview, but it seems like she was being very cautious and gentle on Palin.  Watch the interview, and ask if she would present her questions the same way to a man.
