Obama Launches Negative Ad BlitzPosted on Sep 16, 2008
The Obama campaign promised to toughen up in the face of John McCain’s notoriously dishonest attack ads, and has since fired off a salvo of negative spots. These range from harsh (“Still”) to forceful (“Honor”) to the downright odd (“The McCain Gamble”). “Fundamentals” “Burden” “Honor” “His Administration” “The McCain Gamble” “Still” Advertisement Previous item: Believe It or Not: Fox Attacks McCain Spokesman Next item: 'Daily Show': The Notorious A.I.G. After having been bamboozled, misinformed, propogandized and just plain lied to by the Bushies for the past eight years, you’re whining that Obama is hitting back with tough, negative ads? Give me a break! He’s just laying the truth on the line forcefully. About time! Grow up! Davidsan

I too am troubled by “McBama’s” non use of flag pins. The gold leaf stored on the back and borders of flag pins, if melted down, could provide the much needed economic stimulus/recovery our society clearly needs today. He should be more frugal and construct an entire wardrobe made up entirely of flag pins. He could make his clothes of dollars…but they are worthless, or so it appears. Perhaps he should try using U.S. flags! Wait! No, he can’t because we Liberals keep buring them in order to heat our lattes!
Dude. Focus on the issues. You’re scared. We understand. As a former Republican, I REALLY understand. Stop looking to your “big papi” for protection. You’re no longer five. Grow a pair and be a man. I did, and have never been more pleased with the results! Man, and I thought we Dem’s were whiners! Geeze!

My cousin is a member of the Washington Press Corp. He routinely sends me email containing “interesting” tidbits about the normal goings on in our nation’s Capitol. I opened his most recent email, which I received shortly after McCain’s speech at the Republican Convention. I was all pumped up because it is evident how patriotic McCain is.
And then there’s Obama. I can’t believe that a man who is running for President of the USA would react as he reacts when the national anthem is played, and when confronted about his actions, would use such a shallow excuse
as, “I don’t want to be perceived as taking sides”. What a traitor!
“Hot on the heels of his explanation for why he no longer wears a flag pin, presidential candidate Senator Barack Obama was forced to explain why he doesn’t follow protocol when the National Anthem is played.
According to the United States Code, Title 36, Chapter 10, Sec. 171, During rendition of the national anthem when the flag is displayed, all those present, except those in uniform, are expected to stand at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart.
‘As I’ve said about the flag pin, I don’t want to be perceived as taking sides,’ Obama said. ‘There are a lot of people in the world to whom the American flag is a symbol of oppression. And the anthem itself conveys a war-like message. You know, the bombs bursting in air and all. It should be swapped for something less parochial and less bellicose. I like the song ‘I’d Like to Teach the World to Sing.’ If that were our anthem, then I might salute it.’ ”
WHAAAAAAAT !?!?!?!?! Yes, ladies and gentlemen, this could possibly be our next president. I, for once, am speechless.
He better take sides….......if he is not on the side of AMERICA, he MUST NOT EVEN BE CONSIDERED for the office he is seeking. We do not need a man in office that will not salute the flag. The world knows how to sing, what they need to know is that the USA will defend what that flag stands for.

The title of this piece is wrong. I’m with sufferwords, although I would say that the truth CAN be negative…it’s still the truth.
So, that’s what the ads are about. The truth about our current circumstances, and the truth about John McCain.
Meantime, the ads are great. Short, to the point, and the truth.

It’s the American way.
Report thisWe can’t handle the truth.
We can’t admit mistakes.
We have been sold a bill of goods about how great life we have that the bogeyman wants to come and take it from us.
We have no sense of greatness to elect a real leader who is not afraid to tell us what the future may look depending of the choice we make.
