I love LR&C;.  ANd in order to be the alternative to the “Screaming talking heads…” etc you have to be a little bit impartial!

Ask 7 people what “The Bush Doctrine” is, and you’ll get 9 opinions.  Matt was right to say that Charlie was a tad condescending, and it won’t be looked well upon by those who think these media types are elite etc.

However, Ms Palin should have said “Tell me how YOU define what the Bush doctrine is, and I’ll tell you if I agree with it.”

The bailouts of Freddie and Fannie will not only cost the taxpayers a fortune but it will increase inflation, i.e. the hidden tax, greatly diminishing the value of our dollar.

This will also put even more strain on things like Social Security and other social programs, particularly local services.

Anyone concerned about things like FISA and other civil liberties should be very concerned about this government basically owning your home for real.

Also, the government is now the foreclosure agent and foreclosures will likely continue. A messy situation.

These Wall St losses should not have been socialized.

I was absolutely appalled by Matt Miller’s comments concerning the Charles Gibson interview of Sarah Palin.  I am still aghast.  I don’t know what is happening to this country when even KCRW doesn’t support accurate reporting and a search for the truth.  Sarah Palin is dumped in our laps 60 days before the election and we are given almost no opportunity to learn about her in an unscripted way, and KCRW attacks the one interviewer who attempted to learn some truth?  What is happening to this country?  Thank you Robert Scheer.

Thank you Robert Scheer for standing up and ALLOWING the facts to be heard.  That’s my “atta boy”... LOL

Hang tough, people.  The fight for justice is in it’s infancy.  We have a “jack boot” in that door that has been closed to us for so long.  If we give in or give up, where will we find ourselves…?

Many times I have considered the courageousness of the people who have and continue to, stand up.  And whether I have agreed or disagreed wasn’t really at issue…well… technically, at least.

History dictates that it is the strength and fortitude of courageous souls which invigorate the strength and fortitude of all of us, as a united people.  In the end, it is everything we are.  THE PEOPLE, are the owners of this nation.  The conglomeration of this strength will be realized. “Stick together”, it is our greatest strength.

We can disagree, but still we stick together.  That IS the power of democracy.

Get your game on, it looks to be a challenging fight.

Hippy… You own nothing anyway. Your property taxes make you a tenant, and the recent Supreme Court decission (backed by the Clinton Nominees) says your municipality may take your property and give it to any entity which will pay more rent (taxes) to occupy it.

This isn’t spin, or opinion, it is pure fact, and when it filteres through the thick heads of US citizens, maybe it will shake them out of their complacency….but probably not.

So, Matt’s major takeaway from the Palin interview was that Charlie was being condescending.  Matt, you need to talk about the answers she gave and discuss the positive and/or negatives of those?  Who cares what the questioner is like, I want to now more about what she thinks, instead of playing this game of how Palin is treated by the press.  Charlie is not on the ballot.
