WCSH McCain interview

Politicians, take note: “Local” interviews are no longer all that local. In this interview, Rob Caldwell, anchor for WCSH in Portland, Maine, asks Republican presidential nominee John McCain about his running mate Sarah Palin’s credentials when it comes to “national security, diplomacy, foreign policy” and “the fight against Islamist extremism.”

Watch Caldwell’s McCain interview below—via The Huffington Post.

He’s sure she has the experience in Oil.

And, Grampy, onerously picking fights on the Senate floor where Federal Police prevented a colleague from viciously beating your cranky old ass half to death is not taking on your own party, you contrary old coot, you!

Sen. McCain likes to repeat, “Sen. Obama has never taken on the Democratic Party on a single issue.”

But here is what Paul Gigot had to say about McCain taking on his own party:

“The easiest thing for a Republican presidential candidate is to beat up other Republicans. The media make you a hero—the way they have Mr. McCain on campaign finance.” [“Potomac Watch,” Wall Street Journal, Oct. 8, 1999]

(BTW, I need to clarify my previous comment. Obviously, the attacks of 9/11 were more devastating than these remarks of Sen. McCain. I meant to say that I found his remarks the most devastating thing I have yet seen ... in this campaign.)

Does this mean war is about oil?

when McCain stated that Palin has experience in the field of national security because of energy, ie oil, is he admitting that this war is really about oil?

“She knows more about energy than probably anybody else in the United States.”

This is the most devastating thing I have ever seen. John McCain is delusional! And he is sure showing his age in this clip.

John McCain is seriously unqualified. He is just not a serious person. I cannot take him seriously. He is just shooting spitballs (still).

When did Sarah Palin become the most successful and popular governor in America? Most Americans had never heard of her before the RNC. This just further shows that McShame is just a blathering, lying old fool, who can not be trusted with authority. Always remember that this is the same old coot which voted against veteran benfits, against women’s rights, against aid for Katrina victims, against MLK day, and with Bush over 90% of the time. So where is the change? Just more of the McSame…

Let me get this straight, because Alaska is “bordering” Russia, shee’s a foreign affairs expert. So then any governor of the states bordering Canada or Mexico must also be foreign affairs experts too, right?  Perhaps Biden needs to get “sick” and drop out, then Obama can pick Napolitano or Arizona or Richardson of New Mexico as a replacemanet, and make the same idiotic claims!
You know, mcCain running with Collins or Snowe might have made a very interesting ticket, and I believe both women are pro-choice, and actually have bucked the Repug party more often than McSame if you check their records.  Both remind me a bit of lincoln Chaffey, and I wonder, like Jeffers, that they might not change parties or come out as independents eventually.

Cyrena - about Russia.

My 98-year-old mom who was married to a Moscow born Russian says that Palin is a Russian name and Sarah’s husband ‘looks’ Russian.  We all know that Russia is real close to Alaska.  Therefore: Palin is an expert on Russia and you need to get with the Palin program!!!

Palin is such a whore for big oil - she chose to give a Speech to them behind close doors instead of seeking immediate medical attention when her water broke a month early with a ‘Down’s Baby at teh age of 44!!!She endangered that childs life and Welfare- she had no idea if it was in Fetal Distress and that is why she was delivering a Month early!! She didn’t know until 8 hours later when she finally bypassed Hospitals In TX and Anchorage to give Birth in Wassila- which had no Neo natal ICU!!!!
She Was for the Bridge, Well at least the other 49 states Tax Money!
She did not Sell the Plane on E-bay or at a Profit- what did the broker cost, on top of that loss of about a 1/2 mill?
She Knows Nothing about Industrial manufacturing- Just fishin’ & ‘Earl’
Knows nothing about Metropolitan cities who’s census equals her entire states census!
Is a Flipped Out Heretic ‘End of Dayer’fantasizing about Armegeddon and Exclusive ticket to the ‘Rapture’!
She can’t even take the time to get her 17 yr old daughter On Birth Control!
As For making the Right Decisions….
Mac came out within days of the Anthrax attacks and Pinned them on Iraq- he then proceeded to Vote for the invasion into Iraq. When it had been almost immediately realized that the Strain used was a match to Derricks Base strain!
As for His Surge- we are still in the middle of it- Our troop levels have never returned to ‘normal’. the iraq Gov’t has only agreed on the idea they Want US OUT!While the ‘Conditions on the Ground’ Here are deteriorating Before our eyes and from under Our Feet!I prefer to refer to that Military debackle as the Purge- 10 Bill a month, skyrocketing Oil & food Prices, Not even ‘War Time ’ Jobs to offset the cost and Debt!
As Far as I’m concerned Palin is the Pig wearing lipstick and Mac and his slimy Puppetmasters are the shit she is rolling In!

She was not grilled but asked simply questions any candidate should be able to answer better than Palin did.  Talking about war with Russia in her first interview was s-c-a-r-e-y.

Not only is McShame out of touch, so is his running mate.

I noticed the smirk on McCain’s face quickly drop when confronted with direct questions about Palin’s credentials. McCain and his crew can’t give a straight answer when confronted with questions about Palin’s experience. I have yet to hear any of them give one, just one, concrete example of anything she’s done so far that qualifies her for the office of VP, much less the possibility she becomes President and has to actually lead this country. God help us if these two are voted into office.

McCain can’t be telling the truth.  Surely, there must be somebody in the U.S. who knows more and has more experience than this:

“.  . . Over the last twenty months as governor, energy independence has meant sending a one time payment of $1,200 per person to Alaskans from oil revenue.

Her administration has done little more than signing legislation that raised taxes on oil production to one of the highest marginal tax rates in the world.

In addition, Palin served less than a year on the Alaska Oil & Gas Conservation Commission, after being appointed as a payoff for helping Governor Frank Murkowski get elected in 2002.

And as the New York Times reported today . . . the governor’s natural gas pipeline proposal is truly a pipeline to nowhere. “

Oh my Gawd!!!

This is so awful!! I can’t listen to it again. She knows more about ENERGY than anyone in America? And, it’s about RUSSIA? How the hell did RUSSIA get to be a part of this, and what does her being from Alaska have to do with it.

Ya know…John McCain is one scary SOB.

And yeah, why DIDN’T he ask Olympia Snowe or Susan Collins?
