Lieberman Feels the Power of the Dark SidePosted on Sep 2, 2008
Sen. Joe Lieberman did his best to make Sarah Palin look good on Tuesday by giving a speech at the Republican convention. Although the GOP faithful managed to keep Lieberman off what might have been one of the least charismatic tickets ever, the self-described Democrat stood by his man. RNC:

Always a delicate balance between the right to free speech and loyalty to your employer/party.

I like that post, at least some (many? most?) of us know Lieberman’s real allegiance. How would he be expected to support Obama who is constantly targeted by smear campaigns accusing him of being a Muslim?

i agree about the diversity issue. i think for most people of color, and i certainly don’t have an inside track on this, it’s the life issue or perhaps money and taxes, your executives and middle managers.
you can even hear it in the music. if you had to sit through four days of nonstop pop, a walk down memory lane, would you want the country boot stomp kick kick spin right spin left or might you wanna rock with me all night to the supremes or kool and the gang? the dems did have those vibes goin’ on… :>>))

All I could think of was Lieberman is a throwback Democrat from the 1960’s who got us into an unnecessary war and here we are 40 years later with a Democrat defending another unnecessary war. I will give him credit - he and McCain are sticking with Bush to the bitter end. I hope the Democrat’s pull all of his committee assignments. They won’t need him after November 4. The Republican’s are a failed party and tonight showed it. They really don’t want to govern. They aren’t really very good at it. Their real calling is big business but big business doesn’t want any part of them except to do their bidding. Just look at the lobbyists who were paying for all those fancy parties in the twin cities last Saturday night - the usual suspects, NRA, drug companies, oil companies. And this is the whitest party I have ever seen except for the one four years ago. I think I can count on the fingers of one hand how many people of color there are in that convention audience.

To “Me”
There will never be peace until Christ returns?
Correction, there will never be peace until ignorant people outgrow tribal fairy tales and join the rest of us in the real world.
This means you.

Last night, I spent my evening watching T.V. I’ve been disgusted by all of the police actions going on. So, I kept going between the “Yankee/Tampa Bay” game;“Law and Order re-runs”; and the RNC convention (CNN). I saw “pieces” but, when Donna Brazile was on, I paused to listen to her “analysis” of the convention to that point. She went throgh the “necessary” motions. But her analysis lacked “emotion”. None. My “read” was simply that she was just “doing her job”. No problem. We’ll have to do “our jobs”. I kinda “put that analysis” into my head’s archive. Today, however, I read that she had, on the way to the convention been “peppered-sprayed”. It was reported as an “accidential” event. Are we expected to believe that a person, an acknowledged high profile/well known journalist (albeit, she being a black female))should be subjected to being “pepper-sprayed” by authorities ???? Black female? White female? Black male? White male? Purple male/female?
Report thisWTF FOLKS ??? ....My thoughts are….Vote OBAMA and hold his “skinny butt” to account. Get him in and then, break his balls… I truly believe that if, he is being screamed at and “protests” for the PEOPLE make arguments that can force him to be held to promises that made his election happen, he will “listen”.

re: me’s comment
Where to start ? So you support anyone who says they follow the path of God despite the fact that they advocate a war that has caused the deaths of so many and displaced so many more all for greed and oil ? Everything I’ve ever known of the teachings of Jesus tells me he would be the loudest voice against this hypocritical lunacy of the republican party. What brand of christianity do you subscribe to ? Sounds to me like the bone-headed fundimentalist type, which makes you a major part of the problem and no different then your average fundimentalist moslem. Hiding behind religion while the leaders you support advocate hate and destruction. I wish you all would wake up one morning with a permanent tatoo on your forehead proclaiming your love of these criminals that are in charge of our country so that all can see you as the enablers you are, hiding behind your bizarre brand of christianity.

i think we all need to pay attention to these turn of events, purple girl your right , things are turning ugly overseas, we need someone who can handle our enemies and its not a man its god who will have the final say. we need to pay attention to our personal relationship with god. there will never be peace until christ returns. so we need to vote the man who isn’t going to turn a blind eye and think that he can single handely solve are rifts overseas. it doesn’t happen that easy sadly . we have to stay smart and protect our children and their future . being niave and thinking there’s a miracle speech to give our enemies and they are going turn to peace is very unrealistic. the world is not of god its of itself and hate and sin. we need a stronge leader who knows our enemies and they ‘re ways . vote mccain ’

If we still had journalists and a free press here that would be a question they might want to ask Liberman: When you were in a tight primary race for the senate Obama came to help you out; how do you feel about abandoning him in this race?

Lieberman is not what his name says. He is a nasty snake whose only interest in life is Joe Lieberman.
Report thisThe Senatorial Democrats got what they asked for. They could not achieve with Lieberman “on their side” what they could not have achieved “without him on their side.” If they do not dump him when they return from recess they deserve to end up in the trash can of history.

Please STOP calling LIEberman a ‘Democrat’- he went ‘independent’ when we told Him we did not accept his positions! He Didn’t leave the Party he was Booted OUT!
Report thisHis Continued support for these Oil for Blood Wars and the dream of Marching across the entire M.E. to control all the Oil for his Saudi Friends Outrages me!
His continued praise of Hagee, who also wants to Destroy the Middle East as a Way to facilitate ‘Armegeddon’ is disgusting! Hagee speaks of initating Preemptive attacks against Iran, so it pisses of the Russians enough to being WW3. The Only Reason Hagee is a ‘Friend’ to Israel is that he must be, to fulfil the ‘Prophecy’, when the ‘israelites return to their land’. But he also holds to the adage that only the 144,000 Jews who CONVERT to (his form of) Chrisitanity will be ‘Raptured’, the rest are screwed like Us other infidels.
And Joey Boy stands right behind him smiling, Praising Hagee as a ‘Man of God’, akin to “Mose’s”
So Joe When Did You Convert, when did your Idol Hagee baptise You into HIS Faith?
SO DON’T CALL HIM A DEM, A PATRIOT, OR A JEW…CALL HIM A TRAITOR TO GOD & COUNTRY!!
