Saakashvili Claims Europe Invited Russian InvasionPosted on Aug 15, 2008
“Unfortunately, today we are looking evil directly in the eye,” an emotional Mikheil Saakashvili said Friday after he signed a cease-fire agreement to end his country’s eight-day showdown with Russia. The Georgian president declared that other European nations ignored clear signs of impending conflict last spring and he hinted that trouble could also be in store for other countries. Yeah, I saw Gorbachev on larry king via the link and I have always had a huge amount of respect for Gorbachev for recognizing a useless situation and ending it, making him in my opinion one of the most outstanding leaders in the world. It was HE and not alhziemer reagan or nazi h.w.bush that more or less ended the cold war of that era.
Report thisAs a matter of fact it was the dumb struck neoconist warmongers that fumbled around and came up with the current new ‘ememy’ of the US, instability, a perfect generic label until it could be refined to drug war(I think part of the cia became some of the biggest drug dealers of the time), speading democracy and that sort of thing. I believe it took awhile for the neocons to come up with the terrorist plan(through shock doctrine)to give a wider all encompassing excuse to put us right here where we are today.

If a region wants to break away and their leaders attack them- who can they turn to…those they wish to join.
Report thisRussia gave Saaki a Bitch slap felt around the world.
This is not about Georgia’s freedom it’s about those providences freedoms..and of course the OilCorps interest in the pipelines which transverse them.
Come on Americans- this is not our National interest this is the Oil Industries Interest Again!
We will Never be free as long as Profiteers in the Oil industry in this country (and around the world) are in control of this natural resource.
We Do NOT own any Oil…We will NOT Own the Oil they steal off OUR shores, Nor the Oil blood was spilled to gain in the M.E., Nor the Oil flowing through those pipelines in Georgia!!
‘ENERGY INDEPENDENCE’ MEANS NO MORE CORP CONTROLLED OIL-OR ANY ENERGY RESOURCE!!!
both candidates need to come clean about this FACT!

Oh samosamo, I love it!
”...Your little press conference did not instill much with your accusations but your biggest mistake was standing just off to your right. She, kindaloosly, should be the first person you kick out of your country….”

Yep, for starters, she should be the first to go! But, she’s there on Cheney’s orders. Did ya listen to Gorbachev on Larry King on the other thread? Now HE knows the deal. He references “promoting the interest of STABILITY” which we know has been the totally OPPOSITE goal of this thug regime since before day one.
If there is one thing that Dick Bush et al have been passionately committed to, it’s been creating and maintaining INSTABILITY, wherever they can. That’s what all would be global dictators do. It the top tactical weapon in their arsenal. Create chaos and instability on every level, but particularly at the foundation. As long as chaos and terror reign, and instability can be maintained, that keeps them in control. If ever there becomes even a hint that any situation could become stabilized, (which for the most part involves some predictability and routine that people can rely on) they will immediately stir up whatever shit they can, to prevent that from happening.
Meantime, both Condi the Rice and Karl the Roving evil have been at work on kicking this off. Doing Cheney’s bidding.

I kind of expected more of you than this. First, I believe the initial attack/invasion was proven to be by georgia and second, when you see our government’s meddling handy work in its imperial endeavors you may think it neutral but there are other considerations like on the eastern europe side where the US is installing missile systems that somehow are pointed at russia, what do you expect, russia the fall down and grovel begging for forgiveness? They see and know alot more that we do here in the not so good ole USofCorporations.

My condolences to S. Ossetians, Russians, and Georgians who became crippled and who have lost their relatives and friends in this man-made disaster.
Report thisThe Georgian army, trained and armed by Americans and Israelis, was engaged in mass killing of civilian population on the order of a madman, a former New York lawyer who had lost his mind to the grandiose illusion. Rice and Cheneys bloody fingerprints are everywhere.
The Western mass media has been behaving in a despicable manner by madding waters and misnaming the invasion. But what should we all expect from the media conglomerates and the purchased talking heads?

I’m still neutral. The views of the conflict presented by Putin and Shalikashvilli are both one sides, as they always are in a conflict. It’s a power struggle, not good versus evil. What is needed is a neutral judge. That’s why I will be interested to know how the World Court rules on this, if it ever does.

Saakashvili, you got the wrong people telling you what to do. If your version is true, prove it. I want to know who fired first. I want to know who invaded who first. Your little press conference did not instill much with your accusations but your biggest mistake was standing just off to your right. She, kindaloosly, should be the first person you kick out of your country.
Report thisAnd until there comes hard definite proof, about who started it, I will take russia’s claim that they were fired upon and you went into another territory by listening to the kind of people like the one standing to your right in the press conference.
Ask just about anyother country that america has defiled, attacked and put under their control what they know of america and I am sure they would tell you, it wasn’t worth what was promised.
Now the whole world is sitting on a hair trigger because of what I consider your blunder in being made to believe that you could get away with attacking another territory which could bring the ultimate battle, nuclear devestation. You, sir, are not a leader. You are a boot licking wannabe with no business in the position you hold.
Show some balls and kick america out. Other countries have, you just have to do it.
