Pelosi ‘Disappointed’ by Congress’ War Performance

Nancy Pelosi and Jon Stewart

With the caveat that the House of Representatives is not to blame, Nancy Pelosi tells Jon Stewart that “in terms of Congress’ performance on the war, I’m with the public on that. I’m disappointed.” But she doesn’t blame her Democratic colleagues in the Senate, either. It’s those pesky Republicans in all their untamed minority.

Get yourself back in the kitchen Nancy “June Cleaver” Pelosi - and bake a pie for your King of the Castle - Dubya “Ward” Bush.

You can’t even raise a mild speedbump for Bush’s criminal agenda. Loser!

I pray the good people of S.F will do the rest of the nation a favor and vote this dumb bitch out of office.  She has been bought off.

Sheehan can do a much better job and she has a mission.

Beware the “diebold option” as we are entering the 3rd general election cycle and little has been done (by encumbents) to rectify the potential and actual vote fraud evident in these systems.

I stopped watching Stewart long ago.  He’s just another media whore as al stated.  If he wasn’t he would have asked her why impeachment of george the war criminal was off the table.  The two of them turn my stomach.

Stephen Colbert far surpassed Stewart when he did his stand up routine at the press club dinner and gave it to Bush, right in his face, with both barrels.  That took guts that Stewart just never had.

Pelosi is making the rounds. She’s got another soft ball interview on The Nation.  It’s pretty pathetic when even so called leftists toss out Larry King type softballs.

This woman is undoubtedly the worst Speaker in the history of the House.  If one were to ever use the term “do-nothing” congress, this would be the time.  They don’t even work.  Do you realize that there are only 19 working days left in this House before the NOVEMBER elections?  Where do I get a job like that?!

Do a Google search on bills passed by the 110th Congress, House of Reps and this is what comes up:

Regarding consent to assemble outside the seat of government.

Expressing support for the designation and goals of “Hire a Veteran Week” and encouraging the President to issue a proclamation supporting those goals.

Honoring the Mare Island Original 21ers for their efforts to remedy racial discrimination in employment at Mare Island Naval Shipyard.

Honoring the life of Percy Lavon Julian, a pioneer in the field of organic chemistry research and development and the first and only African American chemist to be inducted into the National Academy of Sciences.

Honoring the heroic service and sacrifice of the glider pilots of the United States Army Air Forces during World War II.

Supporting the goals and ideals of a National Medal of Honor Day to celebrate and honor the recipients of the Medal of Honor.

Supporting the goals and ideals of American Heart Month.

You think I’m joking, that is all they did in their first month.  Here is the link to all of them.

Pelosi’s job is to make sure that war funds for the Israeli Threater, AKA the war in Iraq, keep flowing.

She’s a two-faced, lying bitch who is also a traitor.

She needs to be booted out of office, then brought up on charges and spend the rest of her life in jail.

BTW, Nancy dear, they don’t offer BOTOX treatments in prison.

She has been the Worst House Speaker. her placating and smoothing over of American undermining screams ‘50’s housewife’ mentality. She contantly defers to the ‘good ol’ boys’. She - along with the other female pavers currently in Congress, were Supposed to Change the Game, not continue to play by the Corrupt rules laid down by the Corp minions.
She then has refused to push real Democrat values- Equal rights for ALL Americans- including Gay/lesbians and those of middleEastern descent etc. She has also allowed the Americna Worker to be knee capped- Min Wage still beind a ‘living Wage’, Robbing of pensions and health bennies..
And most agregous was the immediate removal of OUR Right to Impeach any Public Servant. That Was OUR ‘Perogative’SHE took off the Table. SHE undermined our democratic process and tipped her hand as to WHO she serves! Then to leave the Impeachment articlees agains tCheney in committe for ove ra year Attests to her and so called Dem’s real allegience. Now the stalling for the 35 articles against Bush which will also sit in the abyss of the House of Reps ‘judicary Com’ (CON)
If Pelosi, et al are bidding their time to avoid Exuctive pardons powers She need to make that Very Clear to US!She should come out and say- “Why Impeach, When we can Prosecute for High crimes after jan 20th ‘09?” that would reassure the Ameircan Public that the Dems are truly thinking ahead as to how to get our constitution and Democracy back on track. Until then she is only fueling the fire of Complicity with these High crimes, and if they fail to prosecute after 1-20-09 (without concern of Pardons)Proves She and the Rest of the Dems in Congress should also face Trial as Accomplices!
In fact they could begin these investigations, have everything ready and arrest Cheneycorp members on 1-20-09. Thus not wasting Our time during the next adminstration. Start hearings Now, and Indict immediately after the Inaugeration! If the Dems Want to win, on every level, they had better start proving they are With US on this Issue. I for one am not convinced they are not just Traitors in Blue!

I don’t watch the daily show anymore. It has lost its edge and is like a dog with no teeth. Just another main stream show. Polidiot is full of it. These people live in a fantasy world and think they are special. They like the power and the glory of it. Politicians suppose to be about public service first and foremost, but in reality it is only about ambitions for money, power, and fame that people like her become politicians. They don’t give a crap about the public. They only care about keeping and increasing their power.

What a hypocrite she is!  House Speaker Nancy Pelosi removed a section from a bill passed by Congress which would have barred the U.S. from going to war with Iran without a congressional vote, claiming she did so at the behest of the leadership of Israel and AIPAC.

Americans are disappointed in the Congress’ perforfmance. Their failures are so numerous that the only time any notice of them is taken is when they actually accomplish something to help the Public. Republicans or democrats, they’re all the same. It doesn’t matter who is in charge, the Public WILL get screwed. We expect it, so we don’t care when they do it. We need a mulligan on our government. Remember, the politicians can blame each other to their hearts’ content. The only ones that are really to blame is the Public for allowing such gross and flagrant abuses of power and constant lying to continue. It is all our fault.

Stewart let Pelosi off the hook. It was sad to see because this was a great moment to nail her on her stand against impeachment and the fact the congress has a 9% approval rating. Pelosi and congress have exhibited the most vial form of impotence the only thing which can be inferred from is that the dems are in cahoots with the repubs. We live in a one party dictatorship that changes colors every 8 years thats all! Fascism here we come..

It is unbelievable how politicians can deceive us with such enthusiasm.  Why Stewart let her blame the funding of the war on the Senate without any strong objection is beyond me.  Pelosi’s rationale is completely bogus; if the House had not passed the war funding, no amount of Senate filibustering would have made any difference.  Similarly with approving torture, pardoning the telecoms for spying, etc.  The House under Pelosi’s leadership passed this legislation.  Apparently, it is once again obvious that we simply do not have an opposition party in this country, nor do we have honest leadership in either party.  Not much to look forward to next year.

OK…. I’m lost here…

In this interview, Speaker Pelosi openly acknowledges that President Bush has exercised more power than the Constitution permits him to have.

Yet, Pelosi and the rest of the Democratic “leadership” are the ones keeping Bush’s impeachment “off the table,” to use their own phrase. The House Judiciary Committee currently has bills to impeach both Bush and Cheney, and the Committee members refuse to act upon them.

So…. where is the disconnect here? Or am I just retarded? The truth is the Democratic Congress has accomplished nothing in the year-and-a-half it’s been in power. It buckled on the war, on the FISA act… on everything. Listening to this woman talk is simply frustrating.

The truth, as I see it, is it does not matter which party controls the Congress. The bloodshed in Iraq will continue until the Congress cuts off all war funding entirely—no strings, or conditions attached.

Rep. Pelosi needs to be reminded that her Democratic colleagues, including the presumptive Presidential nominee Barack Obama, have voted to continue to fund the unnecessary and illegal occupations of Afghanistan and Iraq. The Democrats were elected in 2006 to put an end to the war in Iraq and have failed to precisely that while the occupation Afghanistan rages on. Perhaps if Ms. Pelosi’s children were on the front lines, where they might return to this country maimed and crippled,  then she might be whistling a totally different tune.
