The ‘Send Karl Rove to Jail’ CampaignPosted on Jul 18, 2008
The busy folks at Robert Greenwald’s Brave New Films outfit have kicked off a Web-based campaign to send Karl Rove to the clinker for refusing to honor the subpoena sent by the House Judiciary Committee calling him to testify about his alleged involvement in the prosecution of former Alabama Gov. Don Siegelman. From the look of BNF’s video report on the case, it seems that not all those who share this goal are from the left, either. Watch the clip: TAGS:

I’m against these investigations into Karl Rove. I don’t think he should be investigated, arrested, prosecuted, tried, convicted or jailed.

Until after January 20, 2009, when George W. Bush can’t abort the justice process with a blanket pardon, the way Ford aborted justice for Richard Nixon.

Rove will go to jail when pigs fly. Scooter was convicted and never saw a day in the slammer.
This article is just another Alice in Wonderland fantasy. Unfortunately.

Actually Vietnam Vet…there’s nothing ‘border line’ about any of this criminal activity, nor is there even the slightest question of KKKRoves’ involvement. (thanks samosamo, for the most appropriate ‘handle’ for this swamp trash..KKKRove).
Also thanks for providing the links to the petition and video.

The military is First & Foremost charged with protecting the Citizens and the Constitution of the Untited States against Foreign & Domestic enemies.
Report thisThey are to protect Our Freedoms and Way of Life. this admin has proven in every way and on every level to be such enemies of the State. It is time they honor their Oath which supercedes all other statements or directives given by any other body of Public Servants.
Certainly a few Brigades could accomplish this task- Arrest all in the 3 branches and we can sort them out in an ‘American Idol’ style nightly Trial session. We have some Awesome ‘parting gifts’ for the ‘losers’

Rove needs to be jailed alongside his many cohorts and our over abundance of run of the mill despots. Where will Rove run even if he is not jailed. He knows full well the world thinks him disgusting as well. Thinking about renting a trailer outside of Timbuktu, are you Rove…maybe with a fence..?
But did you notice how they’ve been “parading him” on Fox… LOL. How inept our owners are. All the GOOD help just won’t work for them will they..? Their superfulous attempt to “put Rove out there” so we could become used to his misshapen mug and in their wildest dreams hopefully we would decide that, ” he’s not a dangerous guy at all”. Why just look how UN-DANGEROUS he is…see him there with his point of view…completely innocuous…
Fat chance.
See… good help is not hard to find. It’s just hard for our owners to find. So they will continue to scrape the bottom of the barrel and in their idiocy and puffed-up self importance always wind up with the likes of people with misshapen mugs who cannot even purchase the IDEA of a friend or casual acquaintance.
Rove is a man without a country. The country he grew up in, is familiar with, has experienced, and upon which his many memories were drawn, despises him. There is nowhere to go, maybe jail is the least of Rove’s concerns. They may loom large now, but even if he were to “get away with murder” and go free… what will Rove’s last years be like?
Remember when Rove was “Bush’s brain” (which if you think about it isn’t saying much)? It doesn’t bode well as the epitome of intelligence to have put oneself where Rove is now.
Rove has been marked as a traitor and the truth is, even criminals and despots don’t like traitors.

A good way to start regaining our lost credibility in the world’s eyes would be the prosecution of Rove. Bush and company have made it abundantly clear that they play by a different set of rules than the Public is forced to use. Seeing as how Rove was instrumental in stripping a lot of our civil liberties away, I don’t see Bush giving him up without a fight. How long do you think you would be free if you refused a subpoena from the House judiciary commitee? 1 hour, maybe 2 if you’re lucky. When did our politicians stop being subject to the laws of our country? The Congress and Senate have done everything they could to help the President turn this country into a dictatorship. I truly believe that we are seeing the death of the American experiment.

Rove has escaped blame for thousands of dirty tricks during his grimy career, and thousands of Machiavellian moves. Conyers, according to CBS, says, “We’re closing in on Rove. Someone’s got to kick his ass.”
We have good reason to doubt this!
But we better believe that we are in jeopardy as well as our democratic way of life.
Whether it is practicality or the fear of rejection at the polls, delay and the failure to hold Bush administration criminals accountable can have very dire consequences for all of us.
The Bush regime has made it clear that the critical problem of global warming will not be addressed during the Bush term, and even six more months of obfuscation and delay could put us past the global warming tipping point.
Considering the headlines and the continuing incompetence of the Bush regime, we seem to be back to the summer of 2001, distracted and unprepared while the Taliban and bin Ladens minions multiply in Afghanistan and Pakistan, and continue to plot against us.
The Bush regime is supplying plenty of fuel for the jihadist movement. Bushs 2005 proclamation that we do not torture was long ago revealed as a lie. Antonio Taguba, the retired major general who investigated detainee abuse for the Army, determined there is no doubt that war crimes were committed.
And Red Cross investigators flatly told the C.I.A. last year that America was practicing torture and vulnerable to war-crimes charges.
Torture has prompted false coerced testimony and confessions, sending the American military on wild-goose chases. Snapshots of Abu Ghraib have been used as recruitment tools by jihadists.
With no impeachment, with no charges against Bush kingpins like Karl Rove, we will never get the full picture of their crimes. Precedence will favor the continuing defiling of the Constitution.
Future administrations will feel free to rationalize the immorality of torture in the name of national security, saying that torture can easily fix the terrorist threat.
Bush has assured that we will still have Iraq and the Jihadist movement it foments, thus assuring future terrorist attacks by inflamed Islamic radicals with an increasingly global front. This will work in the favor of the neo-conservatives. McSame said this himself.
Thus the dire consequences for us can be many-fold: global warming will reach a critical tipping point before anything is done; the economy will continue to worsen with the profligate spending of the Bush regime for the war and cold war weapons we dont need and a continued de-regulated greed-fest; jihadists will exploit the Bush war crimes and realize that another 9/11-type attack could prolong neocon rule; the Constitution will continue to be tattered; and precedent will favor the Machiavellian ways of Rove-Bush.

Face down in an unmarked grave, a bullet to the base of his skull, would be more morally appropriate. But no, at most he’ll be gummed to irritation by the chattering class, and like Libby the Liar, strut on to do evil elsewhere.

Unfortunately, even if someone filmed the whole plot and provided 5 very credible witnesses as to these criminal actions by kkkrove, he would still not be held accountable. He is a national treasure, in some people’s eyes.

The man is a first class sleaze bag! As has been pointed out in dozens of times, he has been involved in most of the under handed, border line criminal activity, of the Bush administration. Given his involvement, he should have gone to jail long ago!

The clip with Stephanopoulos at 1:30 is amazing evidence of his complicity. Rove’s refusal to flat-out deny contacting the Justice Department regarding
GS: To be clear, you did not contact the Justice Department about this case?
KR: I, I, read about it, uh, I’m going to simply say what I’ve said before which is I found out about Don Siegelman’s investigation and indictment by reading about it in a newspaper.
GS: But that’s not a denial.
KR: Uh, I, I, I’ve, uh, I’ve, uh, uh, you know, uh, I read about it, heard about it, read about it, learned about it for the first time by reading it in the newspaper. [Visual smirk.]
The answer was non-responsive to the question, which to my way of thinking strongly suggests that Rove had a hand in instigating the investigation and that he contacted the Justice Department, but he could claim to have learned that there was actually an investigation by reading it in a newspaper is plausible. Also, check out smug he looks at the end.
Given the way every aspect of the federal government has been politicized the last 7-1/2 years by the Bush crime family, I see no way Rove could not have had a hand in it. Of course, guess whose name is going to be at the top of the GWB’s Pardon list.
