McCain

John McCain likes to brag about his foreign policy chops and his many visits to Iraq, but these two prominent Iraqi lawmakers find that the Republican nominee just doesn’t get the complexities of their country.

Unless you are old enough to remember Viet Nam and the years we spent there then many will accept the statements ‘we won’t be chased out’, ‘don’t announce a time table’ or ‘the middle east will explode.’

Similar statements were made during the Viet Nam conflict (ha) and now we trade with Viet Nam. More than 50,000 young boys and men died but I’ll bet none were from the top 1% of this country even though we had a draft.

Did Bush fight in Viet Nam? Did Cheney?  How many people in this administration served in Viet Nam on the frontlines carrying a weapon?
Let’s leave Iraq (they were not involved in 9/11)
before anymore Americans die there. The Bush administration wrecked a country and killed thousands of its citizens.  They want us out.  Americans know we should never have invaded that country.  It it time to go and help heal all the thousands of wounded.

Bush and Cheney certainly want to stay in Iraq indefinitely.  The permanent military bases and the agreement the Iraqi government is being pressured to sign are proof of that.

McBush, among his lame blather, says that Obama is not qualified for the presidency because he has no experience in and knowledge about foreign policy. McBush himself is “winging it” in this area.

This ultra-right bilge is spread by media stooges flacking for the Plutocracy, and ignores the fact that the current Puppet in the White House hadn’t the slightest notion about foreign policy or the identities of world leaders as he ran about the Country campaigning for office in 2000.  Of course, his foreign policy has been an unprecedent disaster, demonstrating his ignorance from 2000 and continuing to this very day. Please God, hurry January 2009.

The argument made on this video is interesting:  The U.S. does not want Iraq to be able to stand on its own two feet because then it would not need the U.S.

And Bush and Cheney very much want to stay in Iraq indefinitely.

This pretty much confirms what we’ve been understanding, (only via foreign news media and very limited Alternative Media here) for at least 2 years now.

The Kurds have in fact even made some oil deals on their own, (with western transnationals) that are simply illegal, since it’s not their oil to make deals with.

But then, the US (and Israel) have supported the Kurds since even before the invasion and occupation. We just don’t hear of this in our own media.
