Hillary Clinton

A new Hillary Clinton campaign ad plays up the popular vote issue while striking a positive tone. Mixed reports have Clinton dialing down expectations that she’ll suspend her campaign after Tuesday’s final primaries, in Montana and South Dakota, as she is widely expected to do.

Hillary jealously hordes those 17 million supporters like an agorophobic recluse hording hundreds of stray cats, scared to open the front door for fear that these strays will dare to go outside. She’d rather die and let the enclosed cats feed on her corpse than open the door and let the cats roam to wherever strays are fed, just to keep them from potentially venturing over to Obama’s porch.

It’s madness.

Misogyny ran rampant through out this campaign. Need examples of “vile and contempt” comments?  Marie Cocco’s Washington post article last month, “Misogyny I Won’t Miss” gives almost too many.  A good read in case you missed it.

I know what you mean about the youth Frostedflakes. They have overwhelmingly rejected these tactics, and make their voices heard.

But, it hasn’t been JUST them. MANY of our own generation, who actually did support Clinton initially, came to change their minds, distancing themselves from her, because of these tactics and politics of destruction.

It continues to amaze me that they wouldn’t have understood this. I don’t at all understand the judgment of such a ‘burn all of one’s bridges’ (especially in the political realities) mentality. It pretty much speaks to either extreme arrogance, or desperation, or maybe both.

You might not want to look as these so called pundits and credit them with misogony, but when are you going to look at the morally corrupt campaign filled with vile and contempt led by Hillary Clinton. Actually, I originally was in favor of Clinton when opposed to any repug, but she quickly changed my view of her when she suddenly had to actually earn the nomination. When the youth, whom I spend much time around, speak of change they are talking about the exact tactics and politics that Hillary has displayed. There is no one at fault for this failed campaign but the Clintons themselves and it is about time this country awakens and holds elected officials accountable for their inept actions.

Yep…all true, and the threats continue…

This from the NYT..

“...In a combative speech, she again presented her case that she was the stronger candidate and argued that she had won the popular vote, a notion disputed by the Obama campaign.

“I want the 18 million Americans who voted for me to be respected,” she said in New York to loud cheers>”

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/06/04/us/politics/03cnd-elect.html?_r=1&hp;=&oref=slogin&pagewanted=all

Then, here’s the kicker…

“...She said she would be speaking with party officials about her next move.”

That means, she’s going to DEMAND that they put her on the ticket as VP, or there will be hell to pay!!

And of course they may very well give in,- I think Aegrus is the one who reminded us - that while the nominee, in this case, BARACK OBAMA, should theoretically be able to name his own running mate, the DNC does of course have tremendous decision making over that, and they may force her upon us yet.

Actually, everything I’m reading points to exactly that! Now how in the hell are we supposed to follow thru with the whole theme of our movement as prompted by Obama to change the direction of politics as usual, if we’re stuck with her?

The whole POINT has been to establish a new and uncorrupted progressive democratic party movement!

To add her to the ticket at this point would be the same as having suffered through the worst kind of chemotherapy treatment of the past 8 or 9 months, and to still be left with some of the cancer.

Shit!

Let’s all take a deep breath.  Barack Obama appears to be a decent person.  Other than his association with odd religious leaders he seems thoughtful and it even looks as if he can compromise on contentious issues.  I believe most democrats will give him their votes in November.  Let’s all hope he can hang on during the general election fracas to come.  Now the “swift boaters” will crawl out, and while he was often a media darling during the primary season the real muckrakers held back.  They will be out looking for past or present dirt on him (or Michelle) - any thing to create doubt, fear or sell a paper.

With Hillary the media either loves her or hates her, there is no middle of the road opinion.  She even said that sure she has a lot of baggage – and everyone’s been through it.  Misogynist comments are standard fare on talk shows and blogs.  If some of the same comments were made on race, there would be an uproar with firings to follow.  Don’t think for a minute that women won’t respond negatively to that.  I personally know many women who have stopped watching Chris Matthews, Keith Olbermann and Tim Russert.  Will Clinton supporters vote for McCain in any significant numbers?  I doubt it.  I do believe the DNC manipulations and negative comments by the media have soured them on voting and the campaign process.  My own mother says she will vote but not for president.  These people need to realize that not voting the top of the ticket is a vote for McCain.

For those who wanted Clinton to win, a long personal history of barriers broken (or unbroken) hope and disappointment remain as fresh in the memory as they did in the seventies.  Many women hoped to finally hear “Madame President” spoken in their lifetimes. This country is not ready for that yet, look how long it took for women to get the right to vote!  Just as W should have known in 2000, when Obama wins the nomination by a narrow margin, he does not have a mandate, “party unity” nor the hearts and minds of progressives now feeling Clinton is a better choice.

Well cyrena, you said it all.

But just in case there are still a few out there who think they understand [a misnomer in this context?] For clarity, I’ll repeat.

“WASHINGTON (AP) — Hillary Rodham Clinton will concede Tuesday night that Barack Obama has the delegates to secure the Democratic nomination, campaign officials said, effectively ending her bid to be the nation’s first female president.”

“In a formal statement, the campaign made clear the limits of how far she would go in Tuesday night’s speech. “Senator Clinton will not concede the nomination,” the statement said.”

So there you have it!

She will concede, but she will NOT concede.

Like I said, figuring out crazy! wink

But then who knows? She may actually still believe she’s going to be the nominee! That might be the real threat ... give in now Barack and dems, or I’ll give you one heck of a food fight at the Convention!

We really don’t need that.

Yeh, Samantha Powers was right.

Ok so, this just in, which may reference Greg Bacon’s earlier post. Be advised however, that this is MSM, and that the ‘source’ is, as always…anonymous..Basically, all she’s going to do is finally admit what we already know.

~“(CBS/AP) Hillary Rodham Clinton will admit Tuesday night that Barack Obama has the delegates to secure the Democratic nomination, campaign officials said.

A senior Clinton campaign official confirms to CBS News that Clinton will “acknowledge but not concede” the race tonight. The official says “she has no plans to concede the race tonight.”

The Clinton campaign has released a statement saying “Senator Clinton will not concede the nomination this evening.” Campaign Chairman Terry McAuliffe told CNN this morning that Obama “doesn’t have the numbers today, and until someone has the numbers the race goes on.”~

(continues)

~“The advisers said Clinton has made a strategic decision to not formally end her campaign, giving her leverage to negotiate with Obama on various matters including a possible vice presidential nomination for her. She also wants to press him on issues he should focus on in the fall, such as health care.””~

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/06/03/politics/main4148295.shtml

The part of this that references this as a ‘strategic decision’ to gain leverage to ‘negotiate’ with Obama sounds far more like some sort of a THREAT to me, typical of what has come from her.

And, she’s also dreaming and maintaining the bullying arrogance, if this is indeed true, because Barack Obama may not have the ‘numbers’ right now..as of this moment, but he will have them after the votes are counted in the last two contests happening now, as we speak/write.

Meantime, I am so damn sick and tired of being threatened by these people – from the Dick Bush monarchy to this never ending Clinton Monarchy, I am sick and tired of them threatening us/me.

That’s exactly what she’s been doing. “Negotiate” my ass! She’s threatening him that if he doesn’t accept her as the VP on his ticket, she will keep her crazy ass zealots supporters stirred up enough to cause him to lose in November. That’s what she’s set up over the past 6 or 8 months, and now she’s using it to EXTORT him/us and calling it ‘leverage’.

The article goes on to make a big flippin’ deal about some major disagreement in their health plans, because that’s the only thing she ever had to bring to the voters anyway. But there is essentially NO DIFFERENCE in their health plans, and Hillary damn well knows it, even though she’s tried to make a big ass deal out of the minor difference of whether or not it can be MANDATED for all, when she knows damn well that she has NO mechanism by which to FORCE every American to purchase her insurance coverage.

And, that is the ONLY difference!

Samantha Powers was SOOO on the mark. This woman is a monster!

Greg,

I’m going to second Aegrus on this. If there are such stories circulating, it is only part of the continuing terror that has been perpetrated by her campaign for so very long.

I VERY MUCH hope that this is nothing more than that. I do have a very seriously legitimate concern however, about Obama’s head butting with, (but yet still agreeing on the basic premise of) Iran as a nuclear weapons threat.

So, for anyone who has any input to his campaign, or those who help him determine his policy, SOMEBODY needs to get him to read the intelligence on Iran, and STOP making these claims that Iran is doing anything that nobody, INCLUDING the IAEA, has been able to prove!

Now me and Obama are really gonna fall-out if he pursues this avenue, at least until he’s been able to prove himself, why he believes this to be true. I don’t think he can, and so he needs to watch this step oh so very carefully.

This is IT Louise:
•  “..And millions of words and explanations and lies later it finally dawns on us, either we are the ones who are crazy, or ... creating the madness is part of the plan!

•  Like Rove bragged, “… we create our own reality and it remains for you to accept it.” “..
Specifically…”creating the madness IS part of the plan!”

Oh yes! And yes, it took a while for this to dawn on us. We KNEW it was madness, early on. We (or at least I) didn’t figure out until much further down the road, that it was intentionally created, and Rove’s words confirmed it.

Maybe we should have guessed it before, because the tactic is not new. The madness and the chaos of a CREATED instability are the primary tools of the trade for authoritarian regimes. Only the created instability keeps them in control.

But, as I’ve mentioned before, since most of us (as Americans) have not previously experienced this; we have been extra vulnerable to these assaults. (didn’t see it coming).

Now we know. For those of us who don’t, it’s time to come out of the rabbit hole, and remain there forever, and be buried alive. (albeit in a coma).

And yes..this has EVERYTHING to do with Hillary, since she has admitted long ago, her admiration for Rove and his techniques. Her’s are no different. We’ve been subjected to them for years now.

Watching Democracy Now this morning a bit of info, I should have had figured out already, fell into my tired head.

As pointed out by a guest author on the show, politicos rely on political action committees, companies, lobbyists, advisors, etc., [paid for their advice by the way] pointing out the real reason Nancy and Harry decided to turn into cowardly wimps and act contrary to the reason they were handed the Congress.

Speciffically to bring the war to an end!

Now I am as guilty as any for defending their non-action for political reasons, [we must win back the White House] but no more. How many lives are worth keeping your seat in congress? A question with no meaning if the body in that seat happens to be a republican. A question with painful significance if the seat belongs to a dem.

So I’m left here with the stunning realization that actions taken, or not taken are the direct result of advice and council from a group of paid professionals and not the very loud instructions WE sent them when we put them there!

And what’s that got to do with Hillary anyway?

Everything!

Think back to all the times in the past eight years when we have just digested a bit of information, when a new bit comes out and suddenly we feel like Alice falling in a spinning rabbit hole.

So we figure Bush is Schizoid.

Then still later after the hole has reversed and we’re falling the other way, another bit comes out and we decide his whole cabinet is schizoid!

And millions of words and explanations and lies later it finally dawns on us, either we are the ones who are crazy, or ... creating the madness is part of the plan!

Like Rove bragged, “... we create our own reality and it remains for you to accept it.”

Rove, the most perfect embodiment of utter contempt for the voter, actually told us everything we need to know.

Our decisions are actually NOT made by us. And our best interests are determined, not by those we elect to represent us, but by a group of professionals being paid to alter our reality to what THEY determine is in our best interests ... for the sole purpose of winning votes!

And the politicians turn quite deliberately to them for guidance, making it much easier to completely ignore us.

And that in a nutshell explains Hillary!

She apparently is quite content to keep on playing the ‘make them all crazy’ game, which, when you think about it, explains her supporters going quite mad!

And this particular situation displays with perfect clarity just how committed to that mechanism she and her staff are! Because we are all left guessing ... what actually is going on?

And suddenly I realize with stark clarity exactly what Obama is talking about when he calls for change.

There’s stories out this morning that appear to indicate that Hillary is ceasing her campaign because Barak is going to offer her his VP spot.

If he does, he’s signing his own death warrant.

Within one year of winning—assuming he does—Barak will die some strange and mysterious death, maybe even a replay of the Sirhan Sirhan assassination, only this time the assassin will be an “Iranain”, courtesy of the MOSSAD.

And the neocons and their Zionist handlers will have the excuse they’ve been looking for to nuke Iran.
