THAKS Q, and I will very much look forward to your site. It sounds very much like something I’ve had in my own pile of ‘to do’s’ and for so long that it’s at the bottom of the pile.

So, ‘tis better that I allow you and your brother to do this more tedious stuff, (putting it all together) and I will tune in and follow the requisite instructions so that I can hopefully help contribute to its success, and gain the useful information that I’m sure you will make available for us.

Oh, thanks for the info on the red heading too. I knew about the control page and all, and I even knew that I could put my url in, but I hadn’t gotten around to that, (since I’ve not managed to get to the point of actually putting anything on my webpage) and I certainly didn’t know that it would allow me to have my name in red!

So, even though I think I’ll pass on that part of it, I’m still glad to know how that works.

You can just call me Q. It’ll save you two keystrokes, plus that is what it should be — only they needed 3 characters for my username, hence the clever pun.

i had wondered the same thing when i started posting here. This was when they still showed the number of posts per person in the comment header, and i wondered if it was a reward for posting a certain number, or maybe indicated admin or moderator status. This was not the case!

As it happens, if you click on your login name up in the top right corner, it will take you to your member page. If you click on “Your Control Panel” up on the right by “logged in as:”, you will be taken to a magical place where you can modify several different fieldsets related to your username, these are all listed on the left under “Menu”.

Clicking on “Edit Your Profile” allows you to update your profile information, age, location, etc. The topmost field is called “URL” and allows you to associate a domain path with your username. So just add a URL (presumably to a site which is “yours,” such as your blog or youtube channel or — god forbid — a myspace page), save your changes, then the next time you post a comment, you too can have your username ¡en fuego!

Your username is now hotlinked to your desired destination, in my case it is a placeholder page for YourAlliance.org, a website which my brother and i are feverishly trying to get launched. It will (hopefully) be an important tool to aid the efforts of progressive “allies” as we head into the summer toward the election. Sort of an unaffiliated, one-stop listing of events, calls for volunteers, and community gathering place. It will have articles and conversation similar to what’s going on here, with a mission to reach out to independents and disaffected Republicans who share similar progressive goals. We are focusing on content relevant to the Western Slope of Colorado, but only because that is where we are and where we have access to the most information. Eventually — and this depends a great deal on the motivation of users other than myself — the site will interlink many different regions and facilitate a synchronicity between like-minded groups who previously had no contact.

i’ve really enjoyed participating here at TruthDig, in no small part because of dialogue and encouragement i’ve received from yourself and others, so i’ll take this opportunity to thank you. i want YourAlliance to have a similar feel to it. Feisty but familiar, perhaps a bit familial even.

Right now i’ve just got the image of our logo up on the homepage, but hopefully by tomorrow i’ll have an email submission form set up so that people can give us their email to be notified when we launch later this month. And I STILL wanna know, i,Q, how it is that YOUR name gets to be posted in red, when all the rest of us have to be ‘regular’ in black.

Now what is UP with that? I don’t know if it’s because the “establishment” is trying to keep track of you for some future nafarious purposes, at which point I’d have to come to your rescue, or if you’re just special,(which you are) and so they’ve provided this special designation to make your posts easier to find among the many of us regular folks.

So, what gives? Do I need to prepare some sort of counter-rendition team or other defense, or are you all just making sure that I’m paying attention?

i am a fan of Colbert and appreciate his deep satire. That being said, i am critical of his interview style. Emulating “Papa Bear” O’reilly, he often badgers and interrupts his guests (usually to a humorous effect) but the result is that many guests are unable to make their point at the expense of nonsense. Sirota was able to get the upper hand in this interview and silence Stephen J. Colbert long enough to make his critical point.

I have had numerous ‘glitches’ inregards to my freedom of speech. The ban from Huffpo was caused by my going on the ‘Business page’ and demanding we hold these Corp Criminals PERSONALLY Responsible for their Crimes agaisnt US and the World.
If we wish to avoid further and Future Organize dCrimes Waves like we have suffered over th elast 40 yrs by Gov’t ‘officials’, and multinational Corps- we must hold the Individuals Personally Liable.That means Indictments and Prosecutions for Treason, War crimes and Crimes against Humanity (blood for Oil). We must Freeze & Seize all perosnal Assets, trun over criminals to other nations who have also suffered by their Unethical and Immoral Business Stratedgies and to be held responsible to ‘Loans ‘ they Procured that We are supposed to Repay in any and every way, without OUR Co- Signing Signature. Thye have not only endangered Our current economy and Status in the World community- but also our future.They have not only Enslaved US, but our children- is it not fair to require they repay with the same ‘treasures’ they have gamble with of OURS?
