Here’s the logic of this attack ad from Rep. Sam Graves of Missouri: Nancy Pelosi helped raise money for my opponent. Nancy Pelosi lives in San Francisco. Gays live in San Francisco. Gays are bad. Behold dancing go-go boy and his harem of sin!

TPM has the background, including a quote from the Graves campaign that tries to link California’s gay marriage decision to his opponent, who, once again, doesn’t live in or preside over gay marriages in California.

That ad is even more putrid than the one leveled against Harold Ford Jr. a while back. I’m guessing the probability it will backfire on Rep. Graves is more than 50%.

Sam Graves has disgraced himself and hopefully the people of Missouri that have occasion to vote in the election will not fall for his fear mongering and his racist hate. This advertisment is or should be an embarressment.

If you’re trying to stoke the fear of homosexuality, why would you show a guy dancing with two girls?
