Well Spinoza, I’m thinking that the war on Iraq would probably be the most interesting part of such a debate, since that’s really the only place (at least in my opinion) where Ron Paul differs with the rest of the repugs.

Now of course that’s certainly a big enough issue..the biggest in terms of what we most care about. And, even for the many who don’t care at all about the horrific lost of life, (and I’m not convinced that Ron Paul does either, at least not on the Iraqi side) they DO care about the fact that their money is being laundered through the sands of the Middle East. So, even if he only disagrees on that one point, (with the rest of them) it is the REASON for the despicable state of the economy, so his position would at least address both those concerns.

As for the rest of the domestic issues here at home, I don’t harbor any illusions that things would be any better with Ron Paul. The poor that are becoming far MORE poor, (if that’s even possible) would continue to sink below bottom. But, I’m not saying that isn’t going to continue to be the case with McCain as well.

And, at least in the Hobbsean dog-eat-dog, survival of the fittest existence that Ron Paul would set up, some folks might have a chance to survive. Unfortunately, my guess is it would be the same ones that already survive by the same techniques.

So yeah, it would at least be interesting.

I agree that a debate with Ron Paul would be interesting, especially if the discussion goes beyond the discussion of the Iraq war.  Does anyone remember that catastrophe?

The idea of the MSM “ordaining” McCain being as the Republican candidate over Ron Paul, in light of whats been going on these past 7-1/2 years, brings tears to my eyes.

See ya there.

I’d kind of like to see McCain and Ron Paul interview myself. I don’t know what I would really expect from it, but I think I could view it with interest and objectivity. I mean, the whole republican side of the thing has totally broken down with them having made McCain the presumptive nominee. I admit that Ron Paul’s HIDDEN agenda scares the shit out of me, but no more than McCain’s very open one. So yeah, I think that would be a really good idea, (such a debate) but of course it’s not gonna happen.

Meantime, this was funny. Too bad it isn’t the real deal. (I actually think it’s far closer to the truth).

So, no doubt there will be no reason for me to watch the ‘real one.’

Ron Paul didn’t quit the primary as the MSM would have you believe.  Whereas Obama and Hillary have been going at it day and night.

McCain is afraid of Ron Paul and the real issues facing this country.
