Obama

In another response to the controversy over his “bitter” comments, Barack Obama ridicules rival Hillary Clinton. He says “it sounds like there’s some politics being played,” and he goes on to jab at Clinton’s recent attempt to portray herself as pro-gun: “She’s running around talking about ... how she values the Second Amendment, she’s talking like she’s Annie Oakley! Hillary Clinton’s out there like she’s on the duck blind every Sunday, she’s packin’ a six-shooter! C’mon! She knows better.”

Watch it:

Read the Clinton campaign’s response here.

Also, Taegan Goddard points out that Bill Clinton made Obama’s argument in his book, “My Life,” in which the former president writes:
“If [Republicans] could cut funding for Medicare, Medicaid, education, and the environment, middle-class Americans would see fewer benefits from their tax dollars, feel more resentful paying taxes, and become even more receptive to their appeals for tax cuts and their strategy of waging campaigns on divisive social and cultural issues like abortion, gay rights, and guns.”

These two people don’t want to talk about issues or don’t know how to talk about issues or don’t know what the real issues are.  If any of these is correct, then why should voters consider them to be viable candidates or able leaders?

In his speech on CSpan, Nader coherently and decisively laid it all out, as he always does.  If he were president, I doubt if evasion and semantics would be a part of his dialogue with the American people and this would be utterly refreshing.

The biggest laugh is calling Barack an elitist.

Who made $109 million?

If only her supposed base of working-class people would realize this.  She’s lived in the lap of luxury for most of her life.

Obama is correct- as usual, about Hillary and ‘midwesterners’. Hillary’s so out of touch with the average AmericaN she’ll BLOW whenever the wind changes.
As for US mid Westerners- We do cling to Our ‘Guns adn God’ because those are th eonly two Rights and Freedoms the Gov’t has been unable to pry out of our Cold Dead hands.
As for Illegal immigratns - I agree, many point fingers at them for ‘taking ’ our jobs- but it is unfounded. I worked with Illegals in the horse industry, one of the few industries were there was actual competition for jobs. But I realize it was not the Illegals who posed the Problem - it was Employer Greed. The same ideology which pushes older higher paid workers out so younger - cheaper workers can replace them. Or cut jobs and over load remaining workers. It’s all the almighty Dollar. Those in this Mindset will screw US no matter if it’s through Illegals, Layoffs, benny cuts, or just shipping our jobs over seas- The Illegals are not the problem. In most industries they are unable to even compete due to lack of education and skills- So the Profiteers find other ways. Let’s be real The illegals are not stealing our high paid Jobs- The Inc’s are!I am one who should be pissed about Illegals- But I can hardly blame the guy who swam the Rio, risked his life in th edesert of heat, Hypothermia and criminals to get a $6.00 job- working & Living like a slave for the Taskmaster who have no regard for real human welfare or dignity.
Frankly I’d rather work with a mexican then Work FOR these morally corrupt employers. They are the ones who should be rounded up and shipped out. Thye are the reason I left the Horse Industry-Their total disregard for Human dignity.
Hillary needs to come off her Inc built Ivory Tower and actually TALK to US before she opens her Elitist Mouth!

Yes, politics are clearly at work.  To pretend otherwise is, well, to pretend.  Hillary is after all dragging out this contest hoping that a gift from the god who has annointed her as special and destined comes through with a gift that will eliminate Obama from her rightful path.  Perhaps this is the one and both she and McCain rush to the mikes to announce aha!  Told you this guy is not worthy. (Perhaps Hillary is hoping for a Gennifer Flowers moment in Obama’s life==although, gee, as i remember, not even that knocked Billy off his perch.)

And no…I cringed at Barack’s attitude as well.  Especially his crude way of bringing illegal immigrants into the picture, which he is charged to do in exchange for the Kennedy’s support.  I want an honest conversation about the flood of illegal immigrants and reasons why in a country on the brink of depression we are to be so focused on them.  It bothered me to hear him focus on providing relief for construction workers who had lost their jobs due to a stagnant market.  Is he referring to all the illegal aliens who worked those jobs, jobs that were once union regulated, high paying jobs degraded to take advantage of cheap illegal labor?

And I’m tired of these people talking about their religion and pulling out their christian cards.  What happened to separation of church and state?  I’ve never had a potential employer grill me about my religion before—in fact, I believe it’s against the law.
