Ellen Rallies for ClintonPosted on Feb 26, 2008
Barack Obama’s campaign may count she-mogul Oprah Winfrey in its stable of celebrity boosters, but Hillary Clinton’s got her own talk show powerhouse: Ellen DeGeneres, who made a live appearance during this recent rally to put Hillary on the spot with some tough questions, like what to do about the sparkly danger that glitter poses to Americans everywhere. If what Patrick Henry says is true, then your statement is also true for Ophra. Right? Frankly, I doubt most voters rely on celebrity endorsements in deciding who to vote for. I know I don’t. It is not that either Ophra or Ellen personally are irrelevant. What is irrelevant are their endorsements.

Have you visited Taylor Marsh lately? The one who claims to be the “Antidote” to the right?

Ellen, by her celebrity is a lobbiest. I’m sure her Fan club will vote, jump off a cliff or drink koolaide based on what she says.

Is TruthDig trying to copy tabloid style of HuffPost…in attacking Hillary or even those who might support her. When it does that, it loses credibility in attacking others in the media.

Aegrus:
Nice try. Ellen is the second top-rated talk show on TV, right behind Oprah. And she does better among some demographics than Oprah does. She has also won more Emmys than Oprah (including personal Emmys) in the four years that her show has been on. Thus, she is anything but “irrelevant.”
As for whether this will have any IMPACT (which is what I am guessing you meant to say) remains to be seen. But Ellen “resonates” with ALOT of people, and is considered to have as much personal integrity as Oprah does.
Peace.

Ellen is irrelevant. Her nonsense is too late in the game. I doubt Ohians and Texans will resonate with her quirky, yet completely unfunny demeanor and bunk questions pertaining to gender identity.
