Rep. Poe: Halliburton/KBR Gang Rape Not ‘Isolated Case’Posted on Dec 13, 2007
Texas Rep. Ted Poe, pushing for a probe into the case of former Halliburton/KBR employee Jamie Leigh Jones, who says she was gang-raped by co-workers in Iraq and then intimidated into keeping silent, urged other possible victims of crimes against U.S. contract employees working abroad to come forward, saying he believes Jones’ case is not unique. Report thisCyrena, I heard or read a news bit yesterday that established legislation already places “contractors” under the jurisdiction of federal law. May be under DoD oversight. If that report was correct it makes this situation, and the other dancing about “contractors” by this administration really vile.

DOJ Shuns Hearing on Halliburton/KBR Rape Cases
By Maddy Sauer
ABC News
Wednesday 19 December 2007
Former Halliburton/KBR employee recounts for Congress how she was gang-raped in Iraq.
The Department of Justice refused to send a representative to answer questions from Congress today on the investigations into allegations of rape and sexual assault on female American contractors.
“I’m embarrassed that the Department of Justice can’t even come forward,” said the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee John Conyers, D-Mich.
“This is an absolute disgrace,” said Conyers. “The least we could do is have people from the Department of Justice and the Defense over here talking about how we’re going to straighten out the system right away.”

Those who never learned how evil prevailed from a historical perspective are surely condemed to allow or repeat that same evil. Hitler started his reign of terror, by shutting down the free press, and exterminated the Freemasons, The threat and anti-freedom of individuals is on the march. If one person is raped then we all are. When we are at home in our person, our backs are too the wall. Remember the holacoust. Americans are indeed complacent. Do not give them any money, they will use it against you.

They rape men, children, dogs, horses, cats, birds and fishes: as well as women of all ages and categories. You can’t “stay out of them places” if they are allowed to have bases in North Carolina, Illinois, San Diego and New Orleans. They are no better than the Identity Movement, the KKK or any such perverts, but the corporate dominated government needs them and will not sic the FBI, police or intelligence on them until we generate a massive and adamant public reaction. Also, Let’s close SOA/WHINSEC which trains many of these E.D. thugs. .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)

Jaded Prole, you’re so right, and I sure couldn’t have said it better myself. It’s the culture, and the Judicial system supports it. The evidence is overwhelming, and goes back for eons.
Thing is, we have to keep in mind, (in addition to what 1drees5 said about this being the tip of the iceberg) that the military has been doing this in other countries for decades upon decades, and pretty much with total impunity.
I’m not suggesting that the US armed forces has perpetrated these rapes, (of the CIVILIAN women in whatever country they happen to be in and of course…we’re everywhere) to the SAME extent that Halliburton has, but only because the US military at least, does face at least the ‘potential’ of a court marshal, (though most times it doesn’t happen). But these guys, Halliburton, Blackwater, the like…they have NO - ZERO - ZIP concerns about anything even close to accountibility.
So, it’s just par for the course now. That is sooo sick.

The culture of militarism in the US is one of violent ultra-macho misogynism. It is a disease that plagues our society and is promoted by corporations via the media along with vengeance and nationalism. That corporate interests influence our culture in this direction is not a coincidence or strictly done for box office sales. Culture defines consciousness and attitude and they know it.
In truth, we are all being gang raped by a cabal of powerful military/corporate hacks.
