Freespeech.org has this entertaining take on the privatization of the Internet, a medium that was once public, open and collaborative, but has since been taken over by corporate juggernauts. It’s not something we all think about, but it wasn’t so long ago that the Internet was organized around information and education, as opposed to shopping.

Huh? D’ya mean we’re NOT owned???? Not even by Uncle Sam, or Jesus, or Allah, or Jehovah? Not even Buddha or chairman Mao, or Uncle Joe or Uncle Ho or the king of Siam .....or the queen of England???
Oh, I get it, we were NOT owned once but we are now..... that must mean that everything is alright, eh? Its just corporations who own us now? That must be even better, ha ha..... democracy working for U!!! Right???
