By Contrarian, December 1, 2007 at 3:51 pm # Rae’s comments are typical liberal nonsense. He would rather see Stalin, Mao or Idi Amin running Britain than Tony Blair.
By 1drees, November 30, 2007 at 8:44 am # WEll, he certainly did not say anything about religion to keep himself from being declared a nutter but anyone who has been watching his actions certainly knows that he is not and never was a “NUTTER” but his actions do indicate that he is a WARMONGER AND A WARCRIMINAL and its only due to his ZIONIST MASTERS that he was able to secure another job and that too with the UN and as a problem solver for the middle east although given his recent past record he should work as a BUTCHER in his local Abbatoir.
By 1drees, November 29, 2007 at 11:21 pm # Well he didnt exhibit his Religion to be declared a nutter but all his WARRIOR actions do declare him to be a WARCRIMINAL and much much worse.
By thomas billis, November 28, 2007 at 3:01 pm # The reason the sane people in England think you are a nutter is because they realize running Government has nothing to do wiith the Bible.England is based on precedence and we are based on the Cnstitution. Not the Bible. When policy is based on the Bible look at the mess.So now we have two reasons why Blair decided to join us in Itaq. His close ties to BP and a joint belief that government should be subjagated to the Bible.Make no mistake about it if Blair does not join in Iraq it would have been very much more difficult to go.I am not against religion but the interests of the state should be decided by law agreed upon not the beliefs of a few.To think that those 4000 kids we sacrificed for this foolishness would be getting ready to celebrate Christmas or whatever other holiday with their families brings a tear to my eye.My thoughts will be with their families.
By david, November 28, 2007 at 2:09 pm # So Tony, what part of the Bible deals with waging agressive war against a nation that has done nothing to you? Could you site the commandment that says killing innocent men, women and children is ok if it’s for ‘nation security’? Your religion is a crock of shit, Tony. The only possible explaination for your not seeing that is that you are NOT religious, hell, you’re not even human by my definition. You, my friend, are a sniveling poodle of a cowardly war criminal. The Hague awaits, Tony. Maybe you and Georgie can share a cell. Buttbuddies for life.
By gbbc, November 28, 2007 at 1:12 pm # This just strenghtens my belief that religion is the level on which Bush managed to pursuade Blair to join in the PNAC’s catclismic misadventure. And the price believers and non-believers on all sides will pay........
By John Borowski, November 28, 2007 at 10:38 am # I believe that Blair and Bush are two in the pod.
By bachubhai, November 28, 2007 at 10:27 am # That is my kind of faith. If it gets in the way of personal gain the hell with public profession of faith. That is what true Christianity is all about. Read the Bible.
By mythbreaker, November 28, 2007 at 9:40 am # frikken kids - and that’s why Canada is pretty much a class act.
By writeon, November 28, 2007 at 3:24 am # Thing is, Blair, is not so much an idealist, as a hypocritical cynic. He was prepared to hide his profound religious beliefs, the core of his being, in order to get political power and maintain it, and go to war. So one has to ask; what is more important to him, political power or his profound religious beliefs? What is it about his religious beliefs that he was so afraid of sharing with the electorate? Everyone knew he was a Christian, so what? The problem was, in his own words, that he actually was a religious nutter. His cold calculation, that it was politically expedient to hide his profoundly disturbing religious views and beliefs, was spot on. In reality he’s a very right-wing sort of Christian. He’s both authoritarian and conservative. The God he apparently professes to believe in, isn’t the Jesus of Love, that most people can get on with, but rather the desert War God, Jehovah. If the British people had known who he really was and what he really thought, they would have wondered what his true motivations were. Would they have allowed a religious nutter to drag them into war in Iraq? Wouldn’t they have thought, George Bush a born again nutter, supported by Blair our own nutter, so that’s how it works! Everything falls into place. We’re being duped by a brace of religious nutters! Lots of people would have thought, are these guys really mentally stable? After all they don’t really think like most of us Brits, they believe in illusions and miracles, and in the existance of another, invisible plain of existance and supernatural beings with magical powers. So it’s only a short step from there to believing and having faith in non-existant WMD,s and that broken Iraq was a threat to the whole world! All you need is faith! Personally I think Blair is delusional and has been “possessed” by demon, which has whispered lies in his ears and led him way astray. The church has always been wary of people who profess to hear voices that guide their actions in the temporal world. Blair needs a sharp dose of old scholl exorcorcism, carried out in the “we don’t torture” dungeon, and then perhaps a side-order of martyrdom would be appropriate, sacrificing his body in order to save his eternal soul!
