Cheney Power-Naps as Calif. Burns

Cheney
thinkprogress.org

Instead of being alert in Wednesday’s Cabinet session about California’s wildfire crisis and perhaps offering some helpful action items for the team, Vice President Dick Cheney apparently decided it was snooze o’clock and got a little shuteye at the meeting table, although a White House flack insisted he was simply “meditating.”

Editor’s Note:  Our esteemed colleague offered the following other headline options for this story:  “Relaxing in Front of a Cozy Fire,”  “Calif. Nightmare Is Cheney’s Dream,” and “Bad News, Good Snooze.”

Check out the clip here.

Heya Hippy!

Some guy tried to sell my parents a bomb shelter too. We lived on a military helicopter base in Florida. In military housing! At the tip. Close to the bombs and all…

You know, Americans lack balls anymore.

Hey Pam? Remember in school when they used to run “drills” and we had to “calmly hide under your desks, children. And be sure to keep your heads down! And use those arms as cover!”

I was in Florida. At a big wooden school. And they say Kennedy was sweating? Yeah right. smile

When they want Cheney’s full attention at a cabinet meeting someone will yell out war or heart attack.

Cheney Sleeping-Fema ?lying and cheating-California burning-But I think it may soon be over-Emperor BUSH*T and “the dick” can “fiddle each other” as ROME[America} Burns.Remember we were in school in the 50s and were taught to “duck and cover”?And I was on a base in the late 40s[I was 2 years old] and my mom had to “tape” the windows on “test days” at White Sands…..

Cheney is known to have heart failure, hypertension, secondairy impotence and is rather overweight. I think the simple cause of his daytime sleepiness might be some kind of sleep related breathing disorder such as Sleep Apnea Syndrome or Obesity Hypoventilation Syndrome.
The importance of these syndromes is that if untreated, they lead to cardiovascular and neurologic disorders. One might think that the aggression and aggitation that Mr. Cheney is suffering might be explained by his sustained, repetitive dips in oxygen saturation at night, causing brain hypoxia.
The good news is that some of these condition are perfectly treatable. Someone might have the courage to warn the VP that he is ill and send him to a doc.

Just think how much worse it might have been if Dick was awake with the other witches chanting around the cauldron.

We should all be wondering whats pooping the old guy out. Cheney is a very focused dude and wildfires just arent on his agenda. After all, were ignoring anything that might be linked to global warming, right? We, the unfranchized, need to know what he’s meditating about. The last time Cheney really got busy, he started a war.

Don’t be fooled by the Dick’s snooze.
He was daydreaming of a way to connect the wildfires in Ca. with Iran and war on terror…

Take the devastation of the Ca. fires and times it by 6 million and you have what we have wrought upon Iraq only without the bloodshed because fire is more discriminating than our military forces.

Isn’t this just what it’s all about.  This super chimp can’t shoot straight and can’t stay awake for a huge disaster in California.  I hope his dreams are filled with blood…the blood of our used up army and the thousands and thousands of Iraqi dead.  Cheney is trying to sleep his way through the remainder of the term.  If Democrats had any gumption whatsoever they’d be impeaching this turd.  There might then be a chance that he’d stay awake.  However, a previous blogger may have it quite right.  Let the sorry son of bitch sleep and maybe he’ll do no more harm.  The war criminal sleeps while Baghdad weeps and California burns.  Forget you Cheney.

http://www.iht.com/articles/2007/10/25/america/25tehran.php
In stead of fighting Al Qaeda, bringing Bin Laden to justice, rebuilding New Orleans, preventing the second fire blaze in California in as many years, restoring sound economic policies, reducing the deficit, providing healthcare for children, bridging the gaping hole in Minnesota, stopping the morgage meltdown and predatory lending practices by the neo-conservascist fellow travelers, the Bush administration continues the genocide in Iraq and is blaming others for its own failure.
The reason for this scapegoating is singular, the neo-cons - considering their ethnic history in Europe - are fearful of getting ostracized again in the aftermath of their lying failure in Iraq. Their reaction is not giving in by logic but by paranoia of past experiances.
