Kucinich Empties His Pockets for Colbert

Kucinich

Rep. Dennis Kucinich flexes his comic muscle by responding to Stephen Colbert’s challenge to empty his pockets on the air. It’s a shame he didn’t get to dive into the issues, but it’s nice to see a candidate who can take a joke.

Watch it here.

We have a terribly corrupt and tyrannical federal government, and yet Kucinich wants more gun control. Do you really trust this government to have a monopoly on force?

I agree with Verne, David, C Quil, etc.  Dennis “gets it.”  How many politicians/pundits go on Colbert, try to make serious political points, and get shredded and made to look silly.  Dennis, by playing along with Stephen, manages to be quite funny while also making (subtly sometimes) his points.  Brilliant!  Kucinich ‘08.

That was great!  I respect Dennis.  I’m so sick of being told that I shouldn’t vote for someone because “he has no chance”. He is the only Democratic candidate who has shown leadership (although the smarmy Dems don’t follow), character, and principle.  He puts himself out in the cold time and again for what is right for the American people, and is the only candidate who truly embodies what the left believe.  What he lacks in physical stature, he makes up for in courage.  Damnit, I’m “throwing away my vote” on Kucinich. Look what happened when Democrats nominaated an “electable” candidate.  “John Kerry reporting for duty” LOL!

Kucinich is great.

And he’s actually being funny on purpose, unlike the other guys.

How the hell could Dennis Kucinich ever get the nomination when Nancy-impeachment off the table-Pelosi is calling the shots? Nancy Pelosi must hate Dennis Kucinich for continuing to bring up impeachment. How could he be so impolite? How dare Dennis Kucinich attempt to represent the wishes of the American people while Nancy is trying to maintain elite rule? Nancy Pelosi and the other neocon boot licking Democrats would prefer to see Dennis Kucinich drop dead then become president.

Why does it seem so much easier to hate women like Nancy Pelosi and Hillary Clinton than their male counterparts? Could be because men murdering infants is horrible but women murdering infants is more horrible. Could just be sexist America. In either case both those women are cut from the same cloth as George W. Bush and Dick Cheney.

What a nice change from the usual spewings of political campaigners.  I agree with #107694.  For some reason Dennis Kucinich is not really taken seriously as a presidential candidate and that is unfortunate.

I heard Dennis say at a rally this summer “I’ll get the nomination if you vote for me”    Esquire Mag. is running a 10 page piece on him next week. Get it and show your friends.

Oh my god; that was a hoot.  What a guy!!!  What a shame Dennis “probably” won’t get the nomination, but, you know…..maybe we need to stop saying that, and get behind this guy, otherwise, we’re cooked.
