This is a different analysis on what has been shown on other networks. Mosaic is a great news prohram I watch it on the web.

There is no question that the Western media have been making a hash out of news from the Middle East.  This was most evident in the flaws in the Associated Press account of the bin Laden video.  However, willing as the spirit of Mosaic may be, I still find Al Jazeera English to be my best source for Middle East reporting.  They seem to have found a good balance between their use of the wire services (my only argument with them being that they should be more explicit about which services they use for which stories) and the contributions of their own staff (not always given by name, again unfortunately).  On my own blog on Saturday I took a good look at how Al Jazeera covered the bin Laden video using my own critical analysis of the Associated Press account as a baseline:

Thanks Amy.

I’m broke, but I’ll pledge. The invaluable information is worth far more than my small offering.

Great piece.
