Fred Thompson

All we can say is he either really believes in what he’s saying, or he really knows how to work a camera. We suspect the latter is true. Cheese Alert: Get ready to duck when the video hurls this doozy at you toward the end: “Fred needs you, and America needs Fred. Together, we’re a winning team!”

What is it that you guys don’t get?  ALL of the Democrats suck and so do most of the Republicans.  But how many of you will actually stop writing stupid stuff, get off your butt and go do something positive?  To take back this country from the vested, political interests, will take PERSONAL effort and sacrafice.  Instead of bashing whomever is on camera (Except Hillary, she’s earned it), go run for office, expose the fraud and make the US better.  Your other choice is violent revolution - in which case, you’ll need the 2nd amendment to protect your right to bear arms.

If anyone doesn’t have reason enough to vote for Ron Paul, take a look at the latest Repubnik con-die-date.
Do we want to restore sanity to this country or just keep going with the flow of insanity. It’s your choice voters.

WOW! One of the laziest senators in history wants to be president!

What happens if there is a crisis after noon? Will he be awake or at a conspicuous restaurant table? No, America does not need another lazy president who lives in a bubble!  It was completely appropriate that he announced his candidacy on a comedy show - another commedian in the White House? No thank you!

What does this man know about foreign diplomacy, domestic tranquility, budgeting, or social justice? We are looking forward to this great star of TV to enthrall us poor ignorant voters.

Yep, ol’ Fred’s just a plain-speakin’ kinda guy who’ll git her done and show all those college boys a thing or two. May have to knock a few heads, but they’ll need knockin’.

Isn’t that the same persona that W was selling? Successfully?
I wouldn’t count him out, you may recall, not long ago, another movie actor who launched his political career on the Leno show.

Believe what you want people! Fred Thompson, just like Cheney and the rest are members of the CFR.
For those who do not know, the CFR is the Council on Foreign Relations and a visiting fellow at the AEI for national security.
There is really nothing more to say other than he is just like Bush, Clinton, Cheney and all the rest.  They have one goal and that is to ruin our country and others just like ours!!!!!

Before he was a senator, Thompson was a shill for the tobacco industry. The issue of his whoring for this lethal commodity long after its poisons were well understood and publicized should be raised and thrown in his face at every opportunity.

Here’s another one of the jokers that’s been living La dolce vita (the sweet life) for thirty years with his cohorts in DC.

After thrity years he’s now become the fix for all those problems he helped develope.

The best liars are the ones who can appear sooo sincere. What a crock fred!

I personally am sick of those who bring us lies on top of lies. If you people keep listening to candidates of this ilk, we are definitely doomed to continue as tax and spend pawns, and purveyers of wars for the rest of our lives.

Lets take the power back form the military/industrial complex and the multi-national corporations.

We need Ron Paul to team up with Kucinich to form a real third party (unlike LIEberman) and take the Government back for the people!

Why should this egotist think that he can come into the race at whatever time he chooses and think that the masses will fall in behind him?
The only person I’ve know with as big an ego would be O.J Simpson and perhaps Bush.
This type of personality is interested in fullfilling their own self interests not those of the little people.
I also have to wonder why he wants to run so badly on the losing side for 2008!

Is ickiness and lack of taste a deal-breaker in a presidential primary?
I guess not.

Dang!  He sounds like Bush!  No thank you!!

On a specific note: Thompson says that “We value the sanctity of all life…”  Um…what do you call the women, children, old men, young men in Iraq who are so commonly referred to as “collateral damage”?

At what point will the so-called “Pro-Life” Republicans generalize that conviction to people in other lands?  At what point will it generalize to those who have no access to medical care?  At what point will it prompt them to actually read a history book, or have a discussion with someone from another country and attempt to understand their perspective?  I am so over this nonsense.

I enjoy his character on Law and Order. The only actual appearance I’ve seen confirms my opinion that he is just another neocon expounding conservative platitudes and mimicing neocon thinktank words and phrases. I saw him comment regarding “Sicko” and his words used a smearing reference to Cuban communists being Michael Moore’s people.

I want my candidate to talk substance. Most of the Republicans talk fear, war, terrorism, trying to project macho images. Leading Democrats are more issue-bound but still fail to address real needs for fear of offending campaign contributors.

So instead of an Evil Maniac seeking World Domination….we can trade for a President that JUST PLAYED ONE IN A MOVIE.  Dear Fred was Vigo the Carpathian in GBII.  Did a good job as I recall.  Either way, I think we’ve had enough Darkness in the White House for now, whether real or pretend.  Shrub is really on a hand puppet for Cheney, so there may be little difference.

I could not watch to the end of Thompson’s speech. I was too sickened. This man is as dangerous as his buddy Dubbya. He will cause the death of your children in vague overseas wars just as W caused the death of my son in Iraq. Is it possible that America would elect people in 2008 to continue the illegalities of the bushcheney tryanny? If so, I give up. I will renounce my own military service, my love for country and flag, and leave my daughters behind. Maybe my wife would go with me. Does anyone know of a country that is immune from the constant hypocracy that is the USA today?
