Alberto Gonzales’ Farewell Speech

Posted on Aug 27, 2007

Not to kick a man when he’s down, but there’s something to be said for a resignation speech that at least mentions why the person is resigning, even if it’s the pitifully transparent “to spend more time with my family.” After Gonzales concluded his farewell remarks, at least one reporter shouted, “Why are you leaving?”

Watch it here.

I wish no bad luck on anyone, but, I hope that Gonzales’ enemies tie him up and pluck out all his fingernails.
Don’t worry Alberto, it won’t kill you or cause organ failure, but you may bite your tongue off. (I hope!)

Gonzoles looks like a slimy little weasel.

Gonzales IS a slimey little weasel.

Bush has been drinking and using for several years now.

Dickless Cheney has to go.

They should all be tried and convicted for crimes against the USA and humanity.

What a joke the Bush/Republicans are.  Every thing they touch turns to crap.

Hey Cyrena, I sold Avon for years and am pretty good as a makeup artist. If there are any marks, I am certain I can conceal them expertly. After all I have watched this administration try to cover things up for the last 6 1/2+ years and unlike them I learn from my mistakes. Can we say concealer?

OK Purplewolf,

But ONLY until the first sign of organ failure. Asolutely NO further. Heaven forbid you should “accidently” kill them, and then you’d have to defend yourself by claiming that they were waging some sort of asymetrical warfare against you, by attempting to kill themselves, before you could do the job.

(at least that’s what Frances Townsend said about those three guys at Guantanamo that finally managed to take their own lives, despite how hard the bush gang tried to keep them alive for routine torture interrogations).

So, you don’t wanna take any chances of anything like that happening, and it probably would.

Maybe you should study-up on their Leave No Marks policy, so you won’t get caught.

Zena, what no torture first? They so justly deserve it. Awh,come on,just a little bit? I promise I will only do it til their organs start to malfunction. Just like they do. They owe it to their fellow Americans. Pleasseeeeee?

I think we should bring back hanging by the neck until dead. Just for the traitors against our country. It would probably be a long line-as so many Americans sold their souls to get a piece of the stolen pie…time to start a petition?

What Gonzales gave was hardly a farewell speech, it was more like a good-bye from a wetback as he is being chased across the border.

#97183 vet240:
Why don’t we expose Cheney to those electro magnetic pulse devices the goverment has,or if we can’t get that, a large number of microwaves and turn then on with Cheney tied up in chains so he can’t get away. Then we can see how good the new batteries are in the new pacemaker that the taxpayers had to pay for. After all he along with speedless gonzales believes in torturing traitors to this country, and since they are all such big traitors they should be at the top of that list.

The office of the Attorney General issued a brief statement saying only that Mr. Gonzales wishes to return to Texas and spend more time with Karl Rove.

THIS, (Thank you Homer) is far more likely to be the real story. They will be planning the overall final escape/get-away operation.(which does require some advance planning). So, he won’t be idle, that’s for sure.

Pretty amazing, eh?

And, did anybody see the Shrub when he made the comments about his little friend being honorable and all, and “just being ‘impeding’ from doing his job because of his good name being drug through the mud for political reasons”? I mean, I read the quotes yesterday morning, like everybody else. But then, even my own local news actually showed the film from earlier in the day, when the Shrub was actually trying to speak these words.

And, it’s been so long since I’ve actually looked at or listened to him, that I was momentarily shocked back to how totally out of it the dude is. It was like what, mid-morning in DC, and the guy was wasted, tore-down, blasted, or as my nephews would say…TANKED!! He stumbled over every other words, and I thought he was gonna fall right on his ass.

Alas!!! It was all just so pathetic. I hope they didn’t show that in other countries. It’s just so embarrassing to have a drunk as our “leader”.

And even with Gonzales resigning to help put a new face on the Republican party, they fall under another embarrassment with Larry Craig pleading guilty to lewd bathroom conduct.
I swear to God, these repub’s continue to look like hypocrites. They are the ones who show no tolerance for homosexuality, but they have many perverted acts hiding away in their closets.

I have to go along with OCJIM’s comment. Adding only, “House Slave” as opposed to “Field Slave.” God only knows and can only judge a scoundrel. We can certainly exercise “Free Speech” here and there and everywhere. Press close our nostrils when we see or hear of him. See I can’t even utter his name.

Even more than any administration before, Bush’s loyalist boot-lickers are narcissists. It’s not the country. It’s not the people. It’s not our noble experiment. It’s me!

Some people (I refuse to use the word “man” to describe him), don’t deserve to be “Kicked when their down”.

This person is not one of them. In fact I would take gleeful delight to kick him a number of times in that smirky little mouth.

This person is a traitor to America.

This person should be tried for high crimes and misdemeanors.

Why quit now?

It’s at the request of the Republican National Party to obfuscate the issues in the next Presidential election.

They have to try to take heat off the party.

Who knows, they may ask Chainey to resign next, for “Medical reasons”. Everybody already knows he’s certifiably nuts due to his pig heart and his drugs.
