Send In the Clergy!Posted on Aug 20, 2007
KSLA News of Shreveport, La., is standing by its report on “Clergy Response Teams,” trained by the federal government to pacify an angry citizenry in the event of martial law. The idea being, as far as we can tell, that religious leaders are ideally suited to the task of explaining to people why they should give up their freedom for the “better good.” Watch it here. Since the beginning of time, the strong leader types knew they needed a special source of power to keep all the flocks in line and afraid to stray. Along came the Bible, the book that will be used to hold the sheeple behind the invisble line.
The book of power, to let women know they are not equals and let the blacks know they are born slaves.
What bullcrap.
RELIGION IS KILLING US!

Still a little unsure of the veracity at the report, though I am completely certain that many of my fellow Christians would see no problem being used by the goverment for the purpose of pacifyig a citizenry resistant to the imposition of martial law.
Are you for real. According to what I have read, Jesus did not get involved in politics. And if you are a little unsure of this report do some research on the web. Look up Martial Law, there are reports where this goverment plans to use clergy to convince the sheeple the goverment is right no matter what and do as it says. You will be lead like sheep to the slaughter. Check out where this goverment plans to take resisters and what they have planned for the people of this country.Look for FEMA Concentration Camps,Martial Law, look at some of the laws Bush has signed just since July 17,2007.Your rights are gone you just don’t know it as they don’t tell us.It’s all done very underhanded. The clergy people will be used as pawns in this madness, already the groundwork is in place. It is a matter of when. By the sounds of your statement you have no problem having everything taken by this goverment and herding you off. Look back to Hilter’s Germany. George Bushs grandfather helped $$ that, check out G.W.Bush on the web searches, and G.W. himself on numerous occassions has stated “America would be a heck of a lot easier to control if it were a dictatorship and he was the dictator of course”.That information is also on the web and where it was said and dates from 1996-2004 (latest info). And when they declare Martial Law,he gets what he wants. And the brainwashed followers who do as they are told no questions asked are in for a rude awakening. You may go quietly into that, but I won’t.

Boggs, I am not sure if these idiots listen to themselves.I know they love to hear themselves talk, but as to hearing the messages they spout out,I don’t think they know what they have said. It’s all lies anyway. They are like a preprogramed robot. And for the blending of political war with religion,I think they do that to justify what they are doing like the song-One Tin Soldier by Coven- “do it in the name of heaven you’ll be justified in the end”. I do not believe that, but the PTB do.That is why it is so easy to destroy others who are different than “we are” according to these delusioned creatures. We could pray for them. Not.Won’t help they are to far gone.
Report thisI cannot understand how people can be totally controled like they are in the CNN report. Asking the head of the church who to vote for. Are they so uncapable of making a decision on their own and need someone to do all their thinking for them. There is a movement going around now to not allow those with mental handicaps to vote. There used to be laws stated on the voters cards that said “imbeciles”(state wording) were not allowed to vote as they were incapable of making a decision. This group surely seems to fit that criteria as they need someone to think for them. Let’s hope they don’t breed as their progeny will not be able to think for themselves either.Scary, really scary. I have a bumper sticker that says “the family that prays together is braineashing the children.”

Purplewolf, I have watched all three segments of “Christian Warriors”.
Report thisExcellent Documentary.
I don’t think it is in the job description of our President or Senate, to be proselytizing to the masses, and especially the military, where the irony is so great that we use phrases like “Shock and Awe”, “Christian soldiers” and “Smart Bombs”. My god, don’t these people listen to themselves?

Have you no sense of humor? Don’t you know satire when you see it? Chill out. If you can’t make fun of something, and, after watching how some of these “true believers” behave in their wacked out view of how “things should be for all” and then carry out those misguided actions in the name of their God. You become like them and so rigid that you snap, just like they do.

They will be armed with AK-47’s in the shape of a cross while they carry their bibles and quote scripture all the while blasting us away in the name of what ever God they profess to believe in.
Don’t forget all the heathens, pagan,Wiccans,Ba’Hai Native American Indians and others who do not believe as these sheeple do.
I vote for reason and anyone running for “elected?” office who quotes the bible(a total book of heresay) as true fact,or spouts off how religious they are,or pushing for the regression of education,i.e. scienctific fact over creationism, forcing school prayer(and who’s religion would they allow),forcing the role of women to that of total submission-slave to the male(owner) and baby factory,is not qualified or even mentally fit to run for public office, let alone be elected any position of power. Look at the abuse this administration has done so far. To bring in fanatical religious leaders would be a tragedy.
If you get a chance watch the following, it has some good exaples of how brainwashing creates wackos, there’s the churchs “creationism “for you.

Will these ministers come equipped with bibles or AK47’s????
Do not make the mistake of under-rating this news as being mere conspiracy. Almost every attack on our rights has been poo-pooed until the final pen signing by the SOT in the whitehouse.
It is time for all AGNOSTICS and ATHEISTS to emerge from their closets and demand that we don’t allow our government to shove religion at us through our politicians. We must insist on the separation of church and state!
If we have the choice of a leader who leads with faith or reason, which would you choose? I choose reason.

It is a source of shame that so many Christians—from Constantine to the present—have understood the church to be a prop for good government, stable society, and available to be used by the government for dishonorable ends by a warped reading of Romans 13. Frankly, we deserve the criticism this article levies.

More important to this post than whether or not clergy would be helpful in a martial law situation, is eddiee7’s response to jane huey. That being, the availability and hopefully the spread of fresh—and accurate—news sources. I believe the importance of this is incalculable to our country’s future. eddiee7 is right on the money, we have to read beyond our intitial reactions to the fronts of the various “new” and “non-traditional” news sources to what lies within. That means left must read right, and right must read left. We all MUST gather as much information as we can in order to make intelligent decisions.
It’s too bad “blog news” isn’t allowed on national television, scheduled opposite our Most Excellent programming.

In response to Jane Huey’s post, with all due respect to be fair.
I am an American and live and work in Europe at the moment so i very much rely daily on various podcasting, truthdig, (Robert Sheer on Left,Right & Center is always a breath of fresh air, Scott Ridder and others are loud voices that we cannot afford to have silenced), Democracy Now, Huffington Post, Bill Moyers Journal, Al Jazeera english, CNN and as many, many other opposing views as i can to maintain perspective and to verify the spin.
I can also verify first hand what the mainstrem US media doesn’t show and what the international media here does report. And should tell you that 95% of the people i know here know about the trilateral commissions secret SPP, the coming North American Union, the AMERO (not unlike the EURO), NSPD51, etc…they watch closely with a strong sense of deja vu having lived through the EU imposed on them years back. Economically the EU is a failure, and many people here still reject it for anything other than making the borders less stressful to pass.
With regard to Prisonplanet (or other Alex Jones connected sites) being a paranoid conspiracy website i think a closer look will clearly show you otherwise. Respectful i have to believe you may have been put off by the visual and hype and may not have taken time to follow some of the leads there.
There is nothing paranoid about SPP, NSPD51, or whats going on up in Montebello this week. My brother lives 1/2hour from Beech Grove FEMA camp in Indiana, nothing conspiratorial about that. The open space near Boulder, Co where i also have an apartment is threatened by the extension of the Trans Texas corridor NAFTA superhigway whichever title one prefers. These are not conspiracys, these are truths, and they are being manifested without public debate or congressional approval.
These things are happening in real time, in front of our noses, but on page 18… and with a strong denial from the administration.
I would add as well that the 911truth & firefighters, and scientists organizations don’t lack credibility.
A great deal of the information posted there as documents, articles, interviews are linked to their origins, those being AP & others. The documents, quotes, & interviews are taken directly from thier sources, those as well being White House website, Homeland security and others.
With regard to “more reliable sources”, i would suggest maybe ignoring your distaste or dislike of Alex Jones’s delivery and take a minute more to follow the sources of whats found there and you’ll find that most of it comes from the same places you consider legitimate.
I am not a FOX news supporter at all, but i do look in and fact check to see for myself what they omit or slant for my own peace of mind.
Yes they are focused primarily on very controversial or “conspiracy oriented issues much of the time where truthdig & huffington and others have a more diverse palette, and the delivery can sometimes be rather hyper….but the info is solid and confirmable.
Sometimes, many times actually, they are months ahead of mainstream media at posting seemingly conspiratorial things that other outlets prefer to wait out that prove to be very much fact at a later date.
All these sites, truthdig and others are invaluable tools for information, all provide a platform for bloggers and journalists to help us sort out the overwhelming amount of daily info and spin out there. I thank them all, and i pray the net stays free as it is the final frontier for those who genuinely believe in freedom of the press, seperation of church and state, the consitution, and what america is really all about.
Anyone who doubts this freedom is under attack isn’t getting “all the facts”. And the facts are right under our noses if we choose to aknowledge them.
Report thisIts up to us…
Again much thanks to truthdig & Robert for making my world alittle smaller!

I think a vast majority of americans are in a state of denial as to the extent this administration has and continues to dismantle what was our democracy. They are above the law and in fact have given themselves the right to re-writethe law. The constitution, another “quaint” documentmuch like the geneva conventions or Habeaus Corpus is only so much paper to ignore. They have packed the supreme court and know that they will not be held accountable. They seem , if anything to be ratcheting up their corporatization of the nation. Our people are paying for private armies who do not have to account for their actions, something all empires on the way out have done thruout history. We are sliding down this slope faster with each month and out pitiful, vapid press still dosen’t even mention it on the major networks because they have no interest in informing the public. The relatively few conglomerates in charge of all that we see and hear ( thanks partially to the telecommunications Act passed under the Clinton admin. ) are only interested in their bottom line. Until we break up these media monopolies and return the 4th estate to the people our mad dash towards facism will only continue to escalate. We are running out of time, and it dosen’t provide much comfort seeing how are elected officials are dealing with these criminals so far.

What ever happened to seperation of church and state. It is well known that the “religious sheeple” are the easiest to control. That’s why the repukelicans like to include the churches. That way people do not question what these insincere political mouthpieces are doing. These sheeple remark that they “support the Bush Bunch because they are more religious based”. Well the Weed claims that God told him to go to Iraq to spread freedom all around the world, all the while stealing our freedoms in the extremely underhanded way.Just who in the hell do they really worship? If this “Christian God” all these people follow is so honorable then why does this feel so wrong? And what do they plan to do to the people who do not believe as the Bushies and the churches, send us to the FEMA camps for execution or will they revive the modern age version of the Salem Witchcraft Trials? Since torture is on the books and the medieval churches were very adept at this, we can only imagine what they will come up with.Maybe Fox can create a new reality television series about “what we do to non-believers and others we cannot brainwash”.And it’s not a good thing.
