Excuse me, sir—are those “jazz hands”?  Just wait for the burka-clad dancing girls.

You’ve heard the hype, now see the show—or at least its standout number, if you’re not currently in Edinburgh, Scotland.  Here, we present footage of foolhardy star Sorab Wadia as self-styled megalomaniac Hussein Al Mansour, singing “I Wanna Be Like Osama” in “Jihad The Musical,” playing at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival until the last week of August.

Watch the clip:

Check out the musical’s website here.

Islamists are great for beheading infidels, but have no sense of humor.

Fuck ‘em all.

Oh yes, ha ha, just like Gerry Adams and the IRA from N.Ireland some time ago when they assassinated some people in Europe they mistook for English - in his thick Gaelic brogue, “You have a right to be angry”, a message to the victims’ folks!

And just the other day, I was thinking about “Bush, the musical”! Just as well it was only at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland and not in London or Glasgow!

Although this is a straight Western-style musical, they have stirred up some controversy:-
Quote: “...On British Prime Minister Gordon Brown’s official website, there is an open e-petition asking the new PM to “condemn the tasteless portrayal of terrorism and its victims in ‘Jihad: The Musical.’” The petition goes on to explain that making jokes about extremism is “extremely offensive,” arguing that “artistic license” isn’t reason enough. They’ve got 24 signatures, including one from Osama bin Laden….” http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0807/5266.html

This is extremely offensive.  Only a muslim or sick person would have the audacity to make light of a truly horrible situation.  The killings are happening as we speak.  If that doesn’t disgust people I don’t know what will.

When are people going to break away from religion and start living peaceful, rational lives?

Brava! Don’t you just love satire? Sorab Wadia really seems to be enjoying himself. I always liked a good musical. Amost as good a “RHPS” with Tim Curry or Howard Keel in “7 Brides for 7 Brothers” or Nelson Eddy in all those old mountie movies like “Rosemarie”, or “Prisilla, Queen of the Desert”. And don’t forget those form hugging extra skin tight see through burkas the dancers are wearing.
