Cheney’s Memory IssuesPosted on Aug 1, 2007
Taking a page from the Ronald Reagan Guide to Dodging Sticky Political Issues, Vice President Dick Cheney told Larry King that he didn’t recall if he was the one who asked Alberto Gonzales to pressure John Ashcroft to sign off on a wiretapping program as Ashcroft lay in a hospital bed in 2004. I was thinking about the specific wording the administration has been using of late. They keep saying “I do not recall.” I think they’re purposefully using that phrasing because if they said they didn’t remember, it’d be a lie. Saying they don’t recall could simply imply that they are choosing to not recall those events for whoever asked the question, while still being able to remember them.

“That’s all we do is put the plate out to the table.” Geez, Larry where was the plate back in 2000? Better yet, where was the table?
Now that this administration is on its last leg, these so-called reporters want us to believe they have been doing their job all along. I’m not buying it Larry and that other guy, whatever his name.
I think I mentioned it would go down this way, with everyone suddenly ‘coming out’ now that it’s the thing to do.

If these guys would just replace “I don’t recall” with a Homer Simpson-esque “maybe.”

Oh, I see - thats all these yso-called reporters do ? Put the information out there for the public. If anyone believes that load of crap, after the last 6 years, then I’ve still got a bridge in Arizona you might wanna invest in. Why does King even bother to ask questions of the most pathological liar to ever hold office ? Where is Cheney’s, or anyone else in this administration’s credibility ? If these talking heads had any scruples they would not have let these criminals off the hook, every single time, as they have since day one of the bu$h administration..Our weak knee’d media has been in the White Houses pocket for far too long. If the truth had ever been important to them they would’ve given us the truth all along and then perhaps more of us would’ve demanded impeachment of these criminals a long time and many thousands of deaths ago.

The new tricky Dick, like the confused big Al at DOJ is wrong about a Congressional “Witch Hunt.” It is the Warlocks they are trying to reveal to the American public; we already know who the Witches are; and linking Cheney comments on Larry King to Hillary wanting to see a withdrawal plan = why not? Obviously, there was no post war “occupation” plan, or should we have known that the Admin just wanted another base above Kuwait and Saudi Arabia in the region? I guess if anyone but beltway insiders had read the 2000 PNAC plan which declared the intention to make America the new Roman global empire, with premeditated invasions on countries we wanted to take over, then IragII should not have been a surprise to the public, while the major media was following the latest ambulance chasing story.

His memory is failing. If he can’t recall, he is unfit to serve as Vice President.

It appears that everyone in the Bush administration always uses the phrase “I Don’t Recall”. As Ve240 stated, it is just another way of saying I’m guilty and don’t want to incriminate myself.

And yet we do NOTHING about anything.
So! Let’s say the House seriously starts talking about impeachment. Who is going to sing or squeal? And if the House does impeach, will the Senate convict? And if the Senate convicts, what are the President and Vice President going to do. Tell us to “Fuck off!”? Who will the military listen to then?
Our Congress must be STUPID.

Chainey is a complete liar. “I don’t recall” is another way of saying I take the 5th on this because I am guilty.
