After too long a hiatus, let us all take a long drink of the heady brew that is Stephen Colbert. Of course, the ironies of Hookergate 2007 are too delicious to resist, resulting in a particularly entertaining “The Word” selection.

Well at least in strengthening her marriage Mrs Vitter has decided why fight them. She at least has decided to dress like a hooker.I wonder if she got rid of the chewing gum just before she came on stage.Only republican marriages are strengthened when the spouse goes with a hooker. For the rest of us it is a trip to alimonyville.

7/17/7 We missed you Stephen.  Welcome back.  I’m doing my best to get the word out you are the “Peoples” Commander-n-Chief, but I’m a tiny 5’3” Spanish guy with no connections.  I’ll keep plugging to get the word out so help me God.  Amen Stephen.

This is so well written and so well done by Stephen. What more can one say about these hypocrites who hide behind that poor, ignorant, christian ideology?

“Several years ago, I asked for and received forgiveness from God…” Whose god?

Not mine, because the last time I saw my god, it was looking for you David Vitter. It had an axe in one hand and a resignation letter in the other.

I’m not sure what the resignation letter was for.
