Teachable Moments With Bill O’ReillyPosted on Jun 25, 2007
A high school student from Boulder, Colo., who appeared on “The O’Reilly Factor” to weigh in about a recent assembly at his school that featured frank discussions about sex and drugs successfully dammed the rising tide of outrage coming from Bill O’Reilly by taking a page from the Fox pundit’s own book. HOPEFULLY KEITH OBERMAN WILL SHOW THIS CLIP ON HIS “WORST PERSON IN THE WORLD” SEGMENT.

Wow, talk about the perfect zinger:
“You ought to read my book… maybe you’ll learn something.”
“I did, Bill.”

Yezbok, you might be on to something here except that the clip came from YouTube and the actual interview may have been live and not taped or delayed, meaning that FOX had no control over its airing/content. Whaddaya think?

You can always tell when Bill’s been “owned.”
Report thisHe sits back and chuckles, to make the audience think he’s “in on the joke.”

Both students are likely echoing what they hear at home. Critics of public ed. however, should remember that there are many students coming out of schools with that ability for debate and rational thinking, much credit going to their parents, as well. Jessie, 16 years old, wasted O’Rielly. Maybe this will be the beginning of the end for him on Fox. Fox ought to be ashamed. O’Reilly embarrased them. I sure would fire his ass. And of course, when you realize your argument is empty, you resort to bullying.

I think this segment was more of a FOX ploy to “prove” that they are fair and balanced, by airing this footage showing O’Reilly’s hypocrisy. I also think that Bill O’Reilly will soon be a casualty of FOX News and the people will say, “Look, they fired Bill O’Reilly because he was not fair and balanced.” Otherwise, it makes no sense that FOX would show this blunder.

Wow. I guess the producers underestimated the kid. Not only did he come prepared with actual quotes to combat the culture warrior’s spin, but he even went on the attack to expose the culture warrior’s hypocrisy! The great thing is, you can see how bad the culture warrior wants to attack and bully him, but even he knows it would diminish even further his already damaged credibility.

Boorish Bill is gonna have to make sure his screeners stop letting logical, articulate guests come on the show. He doesn’t do too well when that happens.

One unusually articulate student, one average student in one genuine pinhead.

It’s a shame that the “adults” who come across this belligerant jerk don’t practice what some children do still get to learn: That the way to stop a bully from bullying is to kick his fucking ass. No counter-argument will ever shut him up. His having his jaw wired shut might do the trick ...

O’Reilly is a bully and his tactics are starting to appear threadbare under the pressure of pumping out his bile sessions on a daily basis. The kid was poised and articulate and took the high road.

Now you know when a 16 year old can man handle this person (doesn’t deserve to have his name roll off my tongue) on his own show, in a controlled republican environment, imagine what what a 10 year old could do in an uncontrolled republican environment.
