Does Obama Have a Stalker?Posted on Jun 15, 2007
Or just a seriously dedicated fan? Obama Girl sings about her love for Barack. If you haven’t seen this clip yet, be sure to check it out. Whether or not he wins the nomination, Barack Obama surely has the support of the YouTube crowd. Remember that 1984 parody with Hillary Clinton? I have been lurking and considering registering for some time. I will now-I have a sense of humor and this is the kind of thing that might appear on an HBO feature like Bill Maher (if it hasn’t yet). While posting it here shows that thruthdig won’t pause for the easy laugh at the expense of a Democratic candidate, I am seeing this as a particularly bad time to be cracking wise about the man who may offer the best hope for some real change from a horrible situation both abroad and at home. Some may feel that it is in poor taste to subject Obama with a sexist parody that plays into race and even Party stereotypes; with me I guess W has finally made it so I can’t laugh any more. I spend so much time thinking of lies, body bags, Gitmo, stacked Supreme Court decisions, and how much we need it to all end, with someone like Barak or someone similarly committed to change. Maybe we all need a crush on Obama. Maybe I need to lighten up, probably a combination of both would do a world of good.

Since Obama himself is a WHORE, of the Zionist garden variety, it is no wonder he wonder he would be stalked by one.

If you actually read the responses of the top Barack Youtube vids he really doesn’t really have much support of Youtube audience.
That crown would have to go to Ron Paul, and for good reason.

lol! nice analogy. i think the o-crowd that this would appeal to will see this as simply entertaining. and the ones who will actually make it to the non-cyber polls will not use this to form a voting opinion. we hope. it shouldnt sway anybody with a brain. but then again, mass media has a way of giving us nonreality. and a presidential election is a lot more important than survivor or the real world.
your concern is not unwarranted!

Well, maybe disheartening was a strong term. It’s just that I did take the time to “pre-warn” all of my youtube watching munchkins, that this IS a “parody”, and not a particulary tasteful one, and that I would like them to examine the real issues that come from the candidate himself, and not an obsessed “fan”.
Admittedly, I have a genuine concern about the overall mentality attached to the “style over substance” worldview, because it doesn’t seem to have served us well these past decades. Style is fine, as long we’re not distracted by it. And, still forming personalities are more likely to be distracted by such.
In other words, it’s OK to writeletters to our dogs and cats, as long as we don’t really expect them to READ them.

hilarious. i wouldnt go so far as to say disheartening, cuz that’s just a bit more dramatic than i can go right now. but it’s not the first, and certainly not the last parody (or whatever) that he and his campaign will endure. i hope this election doesnt turn into some high school popularity contest full of hype. well, i guess all elections are like that in some way. the hype makers are just in the younger population now, huh?
i still think it was funny.

Well that’s it then. Obama should certainly be the candidate for voters who care for style over substance. And most of the media is wetting it’s knickers over Obama as a “rock star”. In that case it’s too bad that Bono can’t run here because he is a genuine rock star and genuinely has some substance. And the equally dumb Republicans can run Fred Thompson as the “Aqua Velva” man.

Ah Jeeze….
This is disheartening. Somehow I don’t think Obama’s campaign would be well-served by it, (except in the you tube crowd).
Even though it’s tagged as the “absurd” (which it is), not everybody sees it that way. That’s what scares me. We don’t need Obama as a Hollywood Celebrity, (even though we do have many celebrities backing him)but he probably would make a good president, although with the mess any of them will take on, he’ll need a lot of help.
