Well, Prescott Bush? what else would you expect from a Bush who’s descendents still have not returned the remains of Geronimo to the Geronimo family.

It looks like he, and the rest of the bush crime family, have been following grandpa bush’s advice to the letter, doesn’t it?
Bush-Bones Doctrine: “Deny Everything”
“There’s three things to remember: claim everything, explain nothing, deny everything.” - Senator Prescott Bush (Skull and Bones 1917)
The Bush family patriarch made the above statement in a 1966 interview for Columbia University’s oral history project on the Eisenhower administration. Prescott Bush said that political dictum had been explained to him by Claire Boothe Luce, congresswoman, ambassador and wife of Time-Life media magnate Henry Luce (Bones 1920).

“Impeach Gonzales? No one will impeach Gonzales. No one will impeach anyone.”
Actually, as long as Gonzales stays where he is, the issues will be kept alive and stay front-and-center. In addition to which, a Republican who brought forward an affidavit in defense of a Democrat prosecuted in Alabama expressly quotes a conversation, in which that lawyer was a participant, which directly ties Rove to the prosecution of the Democrat.
“We will be fortunate if we actually do have an election next year. The smart money says it wont happen.”
Whose “smart money”? Yours?
“At best, most of those considered sinners by the whimps known as Democrats will be pardoned swiftly, without much ado by an adminstration that will never go away. Face it.”
And those are your excuses to not engage with that which is the only game in town: Democratic Congress, with Republicans members increasingly nervous, and aware that what the Democrats could do with their help is exactly that most US citizens are demanding: impeachment and removal.
Either help out or get out of the way. Either participate, or STFU.

When I look at Gonzalez face as he sits there serenely answering questions, or not, from the Senators who are questioning him.
I am struck by the fact that his continued presence as our Attorney General, is a testament to the fact, that the rule of law no longer matters.
The rule of the land has become “don’t get caught”, that is the only unpardonable sin for which we punish anyone.
It’s not the crime itself, and the shame of committing a crime, against your oath to uphold and protect the constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic, because you have no shame.
It’s not about the fact, that you have damaged a precious institution, that was formed out of the blood and sacrifice, of men and women who believed that men should be more than animals, and that we exist for more than just satisfying our baser instincts.
And it’s not about right or wrong or good or evil, or setting an example for men and women to follow, so that we can live in a civilized nation, that values civilized lawful conduct.
But, rather it’s about, that fact that your a close personal friend of George W. Bush. And that at this point in time, in our history, is the only thing that matters, because he is above the law, and that is the shame of our country.

I wonder if all the illegal surveillance has uncovered enough dirt to keep everybody in line on both sides of the aisle.
If Gonzales stays, it will be because Bush can’t appoint an honest A.G. to replace him.
If he goes, it might be because the congress can’t block the next crook.
I can’t believe the Democrats fear the voters anymore. I think they fear Bush.

Perhaps the investigations should turn towards the other US Attorneys.
As GDAEman mentioned, we would be better served to know what was really going on with them. I’m sure we will find the real injustice to the people lies with them.

See Profiles of the 8 Fired Attorneys. The “pattern” is that these eight were not willing to file bogus charges on petty voter fraud to hype up state legislation for voter ID legislation designed to suppress Democratic votes.
The bigger question, “What were the other US attorney’s doing who were not fired?”

Sickening…absolutely. But when you see this and realise that the government is riddled with Bush appointees equally as unconcerned with legality and equally as incompetent the horror grows…..and the wonder at the inaction of the Democratic majority to hasten investigations and to end their continuing bowing to the will of this horrid little man…..

He’s not deserved to impeach. Just kick him out of Justice Department then send him to Bush’s mansion to clean its toilets. He’ll be fitting perfectly with that job !
