Iraqi-American Rap on the WarPosted on Mar 27, 2007
Iraqi-American rapper TIMZ responds to the war with this video, titled simply “Iraq.” The first verse is meant to be from the perspective of an Iraqi, the second from an American. Both have the intensity that has made the genre such an effective avenue for political and social commentary. Haven’t heard the Norris interview…wouldn’t turn on Faux News, but do find this rap video worth watching and listening. Am of a generation that isn’t crazy about rap but this should be seen by all who want to see what is being done in our names….

Regarding Chuck Norris interview, TIMZ is smart - when he said “I support the troops”, he mentally added, “receiving full punishment as warcriminals under the law, which in Iraq today means getting a sniper’s bullet in the head, absorbing 4 KG of IED-powered shrapnel up the ass, or having to eat a mortar for breakfast.”
This is the obvious message from his song, cleverly engineered for ambiguity to garner financial support even from US GameBoyz, the money then channeled back to Resistance for IED’s. Making dumb skYanks pay for own burial, sweet.
Unity and Victory to the Heroic Iraqi Resistance!!

Unreal.
Go check this out… Chuck Norris filling in for Sean Hannity, interviwing TIMZ.
It doesn’t get much stranger than this. Chuck is trying to get TIMZ to play the FOX fiddle. This is pure, awkward, puppet journalism at it’s azimuth. Thank you for the laughs, Fox. You’re killing us.

I would listen to mainstream hip-hop if it was more like this, and less about cynical, nihilistic, and/or spoiled young men and women with bling. I think I my heart would stop if a track like this found its way on to the clear channel networks in this country. It would be a first for many Americans to see what the war actually looks like on screen. The media certainly won’t show us the gory details for fear of wide spread dissent. Oops, that’s already happening. Keeping swinging, TIZM; this bastard’s going down. - TheEnd

This is a fantastic piece of art.
Thank God for this young man who
puts it on the line for the truth
and for compassion.
End the war now. No excuses.
