Senate Scoffs at Bush OfferPosted on Mar 22, 2007
The Senate told Bush to shove his “take it or leave it” offer and ordered subpoenas for key figures in the U.S. attorney scandal. Sen. Pat Leahy had this to say about the president’s above-the-law attitude: “A system of justice does not serve at the pleasure of any person in this country.” Previous item: Bush Scandals: The Movie Next item: Truthdig Slide Show: Four Years of War Elsewhere: . Just like the 30% fundamental Christians you are as brainwashed by our current administration as the radical Islamic folks are by their leadership.
They do not hate us because we are free or have “equality” are you that simple minded?? This is what our current Administration would have you believe. It is easier for GW bush to get you behind him if he demonizes his foes. They hate us because of our bumbling leader and his abdominal foreign policy. When the US foreign policy hurts or is harmful to the other nations I can understand why they would hate us.
The attacks on September 11th were from an isolated group of radical fundamentalists. Not all Islamic folks planned or carried out these attacks, and just because many applauded the attacks does not mean they were involved.
The US is easy to hate due to our arrogance and short sighted culture. Most who rejoiced were just happy to see the untouchable US get a black eye for a change. Many countries loose 3-4,000 people every year, not in just one attack. How many people do you think are killed each year by US weapons made and sold to other countries? It is these people who hate us.
So, put your bible down, unwrap your entire body from the American flag long enough to understand that the propaganda you get from our Govt. is not that different from the propaganda the common folk in the middle east get from their govt.
Both the US and Middle East feel god is on their side and therefore must be right.
Never forget, if there was no oil in the Middle East, the US would ignore this area. It is about oil, money and control. Pure and simple.
Singed,
Proud to an American, but lately embarrassed.

My questions are as follows:
If congress subpoenas government officials and Bush fights the subpoenas in court, what is the likely outcome? If, as we hear, federal prosecutors serve “at the pleasure of the president”, under what circumstances could their firings be a legal/constitutional violation?
Clearly, the executive branch interfering with the Justice Department for political purposes is a very serious issue. How does it play out in the legal realm?
Informed opinion is appreciated.

“A system of justice is what we are trying to protect” and a system of justice is what this administration is trying to destroy.
Report thisOr, what is left of justice in this country, because if there were a true system of justice, bush and cheney would have been hung in the same manner as Saddam.

Bush’s stance of “take it or leave it” is just another example of this fool’s idioticy. Under the facade of executive privelege, this administration is once again asserting that they are above the law. How many more misdeeds and scandals is it going to take before “King Anti-Midas” and his cronies have to pay for their crimes? Anyone remember Nixon? Anyone remember Watergate? It is time!!!! Impeach Bush and Cheney now!!!!

Bushie Boy has allready said that he talks to God he and his chicken hawks really want a war to go on and on, that way the Patriot Act would keep people watched all the time.
Another thing although Bushie Boy and Dick “shotgun” Chaney are leaving that does not mean that they do not want their regime to continue.
This president has stole the election by fixing the vote, they do this by eliminating certain voters in certain districts, now some people need a special I.D. to vote, sounds like the ole southern pole tax.
I know for a fact that Kathleen Harris and Jeb Bush fixed Fla. for GWB. Also Ohio was fixed, seems as though the head of the election in Ohio was also involved in the Republician Party, as one person anounced the man (name excapes me) wears two hats but does not have two heads.
In conclusion the voter system is allready fixed, the state of New Mexico has a lot of Native Americans on reservations and these people get the worst voting machines.
The voting machines were set up by corporations who have a vested interest in the Republician party.
Since congress has been Republician during the Clinton Adminstration and Bush the executives of this country get millions of dollars even if they do not do their jobs, example The Home Depot.
PEOPLE MUST WAKE UP THIS COUNTRY IS GOING TO LOSE THE DEMOCRACY THAT THE FOUNDING FATHERS FOUGHT FOR.

Never forget that “W” is a small man in every sense of the word. He is small minded and insecure, clearly for good reason. He has achieved nothing in his entire life that was not handed to him by his papa and his Saudi godfathers. He likes to dress up in costumes and and pretend to be the COMMANDER IN CHIEF when he is actually a waste of space.
Report thisAll of this was evident to me during the disastrous election malfeasance of 2000. I didn’t sleep for weeks, it made me feel so sick. As it turns out I had no idea how bad it would get. Impeach this person and his brain and Dick.

Heed this warning...jihad propaganda is gaining on the internet.
A March 20 posting called on the “Mujahideen” to use Internet forums and chat rooms to spread anti-war sentiment among Americans.
“Raiding American forums is among the most important means of obtaining victory in the fierce media war...and of influencing the views of the weak-minded American who pays his taxes so they will go to the infidel American army,”
this posting says. “This American is an idiot and does not[even]know where Iraq is...”
This web site urges all the jihadists to use “purely American” names, “invent stories about American soldiers” who “were drafted to Iraq and then commited suicide” and express sympathy for the family of soldiers seriously injured in the war. “YOUR CONCERN SHOULD BE INTRODUCING TOPICS WHICH...WILL CAUSE[THEM TO FEEL]FRUSTRATION AND ANGER TOWARDS THEIR GOVERNMENT.”
We the people of the United States of America should not dismiss this campaign as irrelevant. The jihadists know the West’s struggle against ISLAMIST TERRORISM, this is a defining battle for more than just Iraq and or Afghanistan. For them it’s a campaign to recruit the moderate Islamic, through t.v. networks like al-jazeera and other Arabic outlets in the Middle East.
“our beloved Islamic nation, know that the infidels have begun to retreat and to flee, while Islam is on the rise’” declares a spokesman for the Islamic State of Iraq in a March 11 website posting titled “The Failure of the AlMaliki-Bush Plan.”
A March 21 posting by a “Taliban military commander” purports “Next spring we will bring shameful defeat upon the Jews and the Christians” in Afghanistan. “The Taiban is no longer weak, as it was in the past,” he declares, the radical Islamists control whole regions of the country. “The people cannot turn to the government, because the Taliban prevents this. This is the real proof of the victory and success of the Taliban movement.”
Islamofascists hate infidels, those who are NOT MUSLIM. In the Quran, Islam’s holy book, the Prophet Muhammad tells his followers to offer non-Muslims three choices:Conversion, second-class citizenship, or WAR.
We the American people, our lifestyles, our support of Israel, our protection of Afghanistan, our actions in Iraq, DID NOT cause Islamofascists to hate us!
THEY HATE US BECAUSE WE ARE NOT MUSLIM!!!!!!!
THEY HATE US BECAUSE THEY DO NOT RULE US!!!!!
THEY HATE US BECAUSE WE LIVE WITH FREEDOM
AND EQUALITY FOR ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
To them we are renegades from their true religion of Islam. WE ARE INFIDELS!!!
They ARE NOT offering us CONVERSION!
They are offering us WAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
REMEMBER...they declared it EXPLOSIVELY and DEADLY in Pennsylvania, Washington, and New York!!!
UNITED WE SHALL STAND!

Bush is like a Pharoah, the king who ordered all Israelite baby boys be killed so that they will not grow up and overthrow him. Pharoah declare himself as god. Pharoah made himself above the law. Is Bush trying to be one. Is Bush, the Pharoah of 21 century? His hand is already soaked with the blood of the Iraqis babies.
