The ruling class and the proletariate should not be held to the same standards of justice. The self-perceived rulers are in the midst of their revolution, and subservience to “principles” as immaterial as ethics, morality or law will only serve to tie their hands and slow the implementation of their agenda. They only have a narrow windowof time before the sun goes down, and if their work is to be complete, every mechanism that serves the rustic agenda of “liberty and justice for all” and “all men are created equal” must be purged. They detest the poor. They loathe the opportunity that the common man holds to amass wealth that rivals theirs in so much as it translates into actionable, political power. Does anyone remember the brief spasm a few years back when the Republicans attempted to remove FDR’s face from the dime and replace his with Ronald Regan? That said it all my friends. Purge the forces that created the middle class. Domestically anyway.

I only have one question of Senator Schumer--WHERE WAS HIS OUTRAGE WHEN PATRIOT I & II, MILITARY COMMISSIONS, WARNER AUTHORIZATION, AND POSSE COMITATUS CHANGES WERE MADE? I think his sense of justice is misplaced. He is more concerned about the firings of affluent attorneys working for the Justice Dept. (even though the Clinton Administration fired a sizeably larger number of attorneys from the same US Dept. Of Justice); than about the systematic and unconstitutional dismantling of the Bill of Rights. I’m tired of phony democrats. Where was his voice before the Bushies destroyed the Democracy? Apparently he was too busy having tea and crumpets with K Street lobbyists.
Report thisThat aside; this belated tirade on Schumer’s part distracts from these more important issues. Firings of Justice Dept. Attorneys are always political and frequent. If Schumer is so concerned about the rule of law--then why doesn’t he work aggressively to outlaw Patriot and other similar acts? Why doesn’t he challenge the entire idea of the “Unitary Executive” and back impeachment proceedings IMMEDIATELY. Why doesn’t he challenge the ‘signing statements’ as the patently unconstitutional item they are. Finally, why doesn’t he restore our Bill Of Rights and cry foul when ANYONE SUGGESTS A DILUTING DOWN OF OUR RIGHTS?! I guess he likes tea and crumpets more than democracy.

It seems to reveal that when departments of power drag make a lot noise, but no action--this pointing to the congress, that they are not much better than the judical or the executive branch on credibility.
When congress acts so impotent as to action of checks and balances, it also brings to light that corruption lies more than the executive and judical branch---mark no question, america is having a constitutional crisis, the system is unable to heal itself,
we see a lot of bills submitted for change and undo the last 5 years of tin horn tyranny behavior, but this administration still thumbs it’s nose at the congress---much like Caesar did to the senate in rome.

While misuse of the U.S. Attorney’s offices for Republican political gain is disturbing, it is certainly not unprecedented. To the contrary, the hard-right has been misusing law enforcement for political gain for nearly a half Century.
As early as 1971, the Nixon administration, concerned about revelations pertaining to Wm. H. Rehnquist’s 1960’s active participation in efforts to suppress the minority vote in Arizona, directed the FBI to question witnesses who intended to testify against Rehnquist’s nomination as an Associate Justice. When this method of witness intimidation was repeated during the 1986 Senate proceedings to confirm Rehnquist as Chief Justice, then Ass. Atty. General John Bolton assured the one FBI agent who questioned the propriety of using the agency for partisan advantage that he, Bolton, would take the responsibility.
In “Bush’s Brain” authors James Moore & Wayne Slater document how Karl Rove teamed with FBI agent Greg Rampton so as to perpetuate and publicize an investigation of the Jim Hightower-led Texas Dpt. of Agriculture “after” Hightower’s agency had been cleared on any wrongdoing by the FDA. Rove parlayed the publicity from this bogus investigation into electoral success for his client Rick Perry, who was seeking to replace Hightower.
Throughout the Clinton years, millions were spent on one bogus investigation after another. Nothing came of it until Kenneth Starr, a member of the radically subversive, Robert Bork founded, Richard Mellon Scaife funded Federalist Society got lucky, catching the former President in a lie about a consensual affair with a White House intern.
We deal with a White House and an Attorney General who are up to their necks in illegality, including war crimes, torture, extraordinary rendition, and warrantless, domestic NSA eavesdropping--a violation of FISA amounting to a felony. There are a number of books presenting substantive grounds for the impeachment that will not come from a Congress, whose so-called Democratic “leadership” doesn’t even have the courage to say no to war with Iran.

So come on Dems! Have they finally whipped you into enough of a frenzy to stand up and do what you’ve been elected to do? The Dem. party has been totally ineffectual for so many years they’ve seemed catatonic. Yeah, it’s been about politics in every aspect of the Bush administration. They would like an elite, one party system more than anything, as long as they’re the one party. So, ACT.

As with Abu Ghraib, and the outing of Valerie Plame, a fall guy will take the wrap for this one (not that the fall guy had no involvement). Clinton was impeached for an extra-marital affair (because we all know Bush wouldn’t lie about something as trivial as an extra-marital affair), but what what will it take to bring down the most corrupt executive branch this country has ever seen?

The King had been advised by Hariet Meir (?) with a list of almost 100 U.S. Attorneys being fired due to their political differences.
Alberto “poodle” Gonzales was only replayed the game with behind the door consent of his master.
Both of them, the master and his puppy have to be impeached.

Newsflash...THE PRESIDENT WAS INVOLVED!!!
Big duhh there.
Now what are the odds that firing 8 US Attorney’s for political reasons will get him impeached? Low order of probability doesn’t really say it. Zero probability...that’s more like it.
And wouldn’t it be hilarious if this is what get’s it done? Killing nearly a million innocent men, women and children (and don’t forget the unborn babies) in Iraq...no problemo...firing 8 US Attorney’s, now it’s time to get serious!!! Democrats and Repugnicans should be in agreement on this one, cause there’s no war profit’s to be had.
Suffice it to say, this President has been in on EVERY crime that this administration has committed, even if he wasn’t in the loop. That’s why they call him THE PRESIDENT!!! HE’S THE BOSS...HE’S THE RESPONSIBLE PARTY TO ALL OF IT. He’s involved in it all, by definition.
