Mr. Bush seems bloody-mindedly determined to destroy utterly any conventional idea of a lame-duck presidency. Ironically, this is the only area where he is succeeding. Whatever else can and will be said about his time in office, his venomous disregard for any viewpoint other than his own will be the gravamen of history’s indictment. Sadly, his viewpoint inexorably crushes innocent lives—and too often the lives of people who had exactly nothing to do with 9/11. Many of these dead had never even seen an American until they came roaring up the street in full battle gear. By his own words, Mr. Bush vilifies those “who kill innocent life” as the scum of the earth. At long last Mr. President, we have something we can agree on.

Bush doesn’t know anything but his booze so don’t mention about Iran, Iraq to him. Poor America when it has a president like him.

    RE: “...muster world support...”

    >>> as if they care what anyone thinks

in fact all they need is US hi-tech weaponry and Black Water — think Waffen SS — to render the resistors into the Torture Gulag.

Without a doubt, we are an empire at the precepice of its fall.
