Sex Talk With Rev. TedPosted on Jan 30, 2007
In this clip from the new HBO documentary “Friends of God,” the Rev. Ted Haggard engages in some loose sex talk with parishioners. (Haggard is, of course, the former president of the National Association of Evangelicals who famously frequented a gay male sex worker.) There has always been a fascinating link between religion and sex; the British Prime Minister Lloyd George (of World War I fame) stated in his autobiography that when he was a young man all of his friends would go to the local religious tent meetings during the summer and then after the meetings they would rush off to the woodlands with the young ladies to enjoy the “passions stirred by the gospel messages…”. By the way, wasn’t Pelosi the one who did the video about the Kerry campaign? And wasn’t she selected in order to appease her mother?

roxy,
at least you don’t pretend to know what is going on. This chap was a Rev. who preached against the sins of homosexuality WHEN HE HIMSELF WAS A HOMOSEXUAL.
hopefully that clears thing up for ya
sheesh is right.

I love the comment from Broiler. I saw this HBO documentary and I have to tell you. I’m frightened. There where kids that where interviewed that where no older then 4, they where saying that they don’t believe in evolution, at all. I eventually had to change the channel, to get away from the pure ignorance.

So what was his crime, that he’s a gay and didn’t out himself? Or is it that he’s a gay? Or is it that he’s a gay that pretended to be straight? Give the poor lubber a break. Not everyone can be as (self) righteous as the lot of you. Sheeeez.

I hope this video inspires evangelical Christians to buy Christopher Hitchens book The Missionary Position, his exposé of Mother Teresa (heh, heh, heh, ).
By the way, isnt it ironic that God told Richard Dawkins to interview Haggard (pre-scandal) for the documentary The Root of All Evil?

Imagine how many moral problems mental lying has produced in our society. When a man has so far corrupted and prostituted the chastity of his mind, as to subscribe his professional belief to things he does not actually believe, he has prepared himself for the commission of every other crime. He takes up the trade of a priest for the sake of gain, and in order to qualify himself for that trade, he begins with perjury. Lying is no longer second nature to these people, it is first nature.
Report thisThe happiness of humanity can only begin when we are mentally honest with ourselves. This religious phenomenon is the complete opposite. Think about it, and you shouldn’t have to think too long.

I’ve never seen such scumbags and trash in my
life. Well… maybe that’s a little strong.
I have seen a politician or two.
Be very afraid folks, these three morons have
been breeding according to their bragging on
tape. There are millions more where they came
from. They must have come from “God” because
they are certainly not evolved.
Can I get an Amen?
