Hondo,
You don’t know the world you live in, buddy. If you still, even now, can’t see America just a little bit more for what it is then there is no hope for you. I’m glad to know people like you are finally in the minority from whence you came. So you go on and keep pluging the company line with all the rest of the right wing pundits who get paid millions to do the same. You’ll get your reward, too. It’s called a surge in troops. Maybe you should put your money where your mouth is, enlist, and go see the true house that America built.

The following is a letter I sent my local newspaper. An answer to the question would be greatly appreciated.
Dear Editor,
Here is a question that “We The People” should be asking:
Who do Democratic and Republican politicians really represent?
I believe the answer to this question , if there is one, will answer all of the other questions we have concerning the democracy “We The People” live under.
P.S.
The following links may give a hint to the answer:

Yes, Lefty, the United States has been in many wars that we didn’t bring upon ourselves, and corporate interests haven’t had anything to do with any of our wars. For example, the current war in Iraq started because Saddam violated something like 16 different U.N. resolutions, kicked out the weapon’s inspectors, convinced the world that he had WMD, and because he had promised to destroy the U.S. The war in Afghanistan started because New York was hit with a totally unprovoked terrorist attack that killed thousands. We entered WWII because Japan hit Pearl Harbor--again unprovoked. Do I really need to go on? America is the most peaceful nation on earth with no desire whatsoever to fight anyone...unless some other country threatens us first. Then we fight.

Read C. Wright Mills The Cause of World War Three written in 1958. Make a few changes in names and it applies today. King was much ahead of his time too. He ranked with Ghandi.

Has the U.S. ever been in a war that it didn’t bring upon itself, to one degree or another? Further, how many U.S. wars were not, primarily, for the protection of giant commercial/corporate interests.
