The video is fake: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PkRHki5P6fc

What an irony that the guy does what he accuses others of.

Actually, this isn’t the only video that shows up with the black bar.  Other podium speaches have the same black bar at the bottom of it. Not all of them have the black box, but most of the ones I clicked on did.

The Soviets used to do this during the Stalin era—altering photographs or posters containing images of purged party members to delete those people from from the official memory.  Next it will be “We were never about ‘mission accomplished.’”  They’ll have the video to prove it.

Add this to the list of the tax funded “packaged” news items exposed on the Daily Show and Air America a coupleof years ago e.g. the “We love Bush” paid Iraqi, the packaged Pat Tillman story, etc., par for the course, business as usual sort of stuff although I do appreciate seeing it on Truthdig.com!

Can we all agree that politicians change history, and outright lie to us (Bush & Co. more than others)?  This doesn’t surprise me, but I am perpetually astonished at how amateur their lies are.  I mean, that’s some low-grade work there; leaving the cropped image with a black bar at the bottom only incites inquiry, which is not what you want when you’re trying to cover up something.
