The Best War Ever
From thebestwarever.com

Check out this hip new video trailer about a new graphical book, “The Best War Ever,” which chronicles how the U.S. defeated itself by believing its own propaganda that the invasion and occupation of Iraq would be a cakewalk. It just hit the Internet today (Sept. 11, 2006).

Hi there…Sheldon Rampton here, the co-author (with John Stauber) of “The Best War Ever: Lies, Damned Lies and the Mess in Iraq.” Thanks for mentioning our book and video. One correction, though: the book is not a “graphical book.” It has a Tom Tomorrow cartoon as the cover art, but the content of the book is all text.

I happen to think that the text is pretty compelling all by itself (can you blame me?), but I wouldn’t want anyone to buy the book thinking they’re getting something with drawings. I’m a fan of well-done graphic books such as “Persepolis,” but that’s not what John and I have written.
