Daily Show

The “Daily Show” opened Wednesday with coverage of Ned Lamont’s victory over the man Jon Stewart referred to as “Joe Loserman.”  After playing a clip of Lieberman’s concession speech where the senator said the game was only half over, and the Lamont team was just ahead, Stewart shot back, “Perhaps I could, uh, offer my own, uh, sports comparison, if you will.  There was a game, and you lost.”  The host later brought on “senior political analyst” Samantha Bee, who said, “Well Jon, he’s no quitter.  In fact, sources in his campaign tell me if he loses again in November, he’ll start his own Senate.”

To Hondo, Comment #18126:

It’s a comedy show.  It’s not meant to be taken seriously.  It’s not a real “news analysis,” nor is it always 100 percent accurate.  But then again, what news actually is?

As for Jon Stewart, one of your so-called “failed standup comics”....Forget the fact that In 2005, The Daily Show and Jon Stewart received two Emmy Awards and a Best Comedy Album Grammy Award for the audio book edition of America the book.

It is truly hilarious to see how seriously all of you take this “news analysis” that comes from a bunch of failed standup comics. Does the left really think that Jon Stewart, Samantha Bee, et al really know what they are talking about? Do yourselves a favor. Go to http://www.newsmax.com and look for the real analysis that has been written by Ed Koch and Dick Morris. You’ll not see the punchlines there that you see from Comedy Central, but you’ll sure get more truth.

It just shows that most presidential candidates do a poor job of choosing their running mates. Fact that Al Gore didn’t require Lieberman to drop the Senate bid in 2000 was an indication that Gore wasn’t a resolute and demanding leader.

Why is Lieberman even in office? How confident was he in his 2000 VP candidacy that he also ran for a seat in the Senate? At least John Edwards went for broke in 2004.

And how ironic that a candidate who would have been vice-president if not for a third party is now himself a third party candidate?

Rove, Mehlman, et al, love this. Meet Joe Naderman.

Yeah, I agree with Stewart. Joe is very uninspiring. And he kind of looks like Ray Walston from My Favorite Martian.

I wish those little martian antennae would rise up from the back of his huge misshapen head and he’d disappear for GOOD.

Bye, Bye, Uncle Martin!

Lieberman should run as a Republican. It is the only honest position he can take. I feel certain Rove would welcome him.

The best part of Samantha Bee’s piece was:  It’s like dating, Joe.  It’s not persistence; it’s STALKING!

Yee-ow! Put Samantha Bee at the anchor position. She’s a riot.  Her “to put it in dating terms/stalking” crack was fabulous.  Gimme more Samantha!

November please all dem. and other voters make sure to vote for Lamont and retire Joe Loserman so he can join Zell Miller as another party traitor. They can both moth-ball the donkey suits and come out of the closet as two sorry assed republic-carrion.
