Colbert Campaigns for Tom DeLayPosted on Aug 10, 2006
The Hammer has his hands full defending himself in court, but he’s still on the ballot in Texas, so Stephen Colbert was kind enough to make a campaign ad for him. The prayer Tom DeLay says he made before having his mug shot taken, that “people see Christ through me,” serves as the inspiration for the ad. “Tom, you will not run this race all by yourself. Whenever you feel alone, look behind you on the beach. You may only see one set of footprints in the sand, but that’s just because Jesus is carrying you.”

Nice observations, Mike L.!
The only difference is that Jesus would never lie about hanging out with those people.

I see the lovechild of a group-grope with Falwell, Sen. McCarthy, and Sen. Phil Gramm.

Good point Mike. If only repugs knew as much about Jesus.

Well, if you actually read the bible, Jesus hung out with tax collectors, evangelists, lepers, and whores, so how is that any different from your average Republican congressmonster?
So, MAYBE I DO SEE JESUS, through Tom Delay…
