Iraqi Girl tells of US Attack-

Haditha: A City Crushed under the Occupation

The American troops, accompanied by the Iraqi National Guards, are waging the most ferocious attack against our town, for three days now. They violated our blood, honor, and peaceful houses where not a single piece of weapon, fighters, or armed men were found. They killed old people, women and children; they bombed the houses with airplanes. We swear by the name of God that there was not a single piece of weapon in them. They killed Sheikh Ismael Al-Zawi, speaker of Al-Seif mosque, while he was going to pray at dawn. They forced families out of their houses, occupied them and used them as their headquarters. The INGs have stolen all the houses properties, including even children and women clothes. They closed all the roads to the town hospital, the wounded were left un attended. They killed women and children without any reason; there were no fighters among them. Please help the people of Haditha; even with a word ... Our sanctities, houses, women, blood, and honor are violated by the occupation ... (more)

On one news report this same little girl picture intimated that they were all waiting for a bomb to go off that morning…, even though the soldiers over reacted drastically these civilians were not totally innocent of knowledge of an IED buried in the road to kill americans…..what a big mess bush has our millitary involved in…

General WIMPS - Pace, Casey, Franks, Meyers, and the lists goes ON and ON.  Couldn’t speak UP to BUSH and Co as to what was/is REALLY NEEDED.

Meanwhile, now their managment decisions are showing through with great results from day 1.  Not enough BOOTS.  Expecting these soldiers to be acts of GOD.  How “Humane” do YOU think that they treat our military?

Are we forgeting that the White House TERRORISTS SUPPORT and ENCOURAGES TORTURE?

The darkness of America’s new shame is the saddest thing I’ve ever known.  Mourn our lost preeminence in the world’s eyes on human rights and human dignity.  It was squandered on the ego of a stolen presidency.  God help us; God let justice awaken our sleeping populous.

And the saddest thing of all is that while most Americans disapprove of the continued occupation of Iraq they’re also so alienated from the political process they can’t even protest it anymore.

As a result, they’ll be quick to believe the vile Malkinite Neocon talking points our friend below is crapping in this thread so they have an excuse to do nothing.

And one more crisis will come and go.

Gimme a break. You’ve “proven” nothing in your post except that Iraq is an Muslim country.

Wow, color me shocked. There are Muslims in the Middle East.

The truth is that we all FUCKING WARNED YOU THIS CRAP WOULD HAPPEN. We fucking warned you that Iraq was a tribalist country where American soldiers were unlikely to “be greated as liberators”, that any American soldier (which doesn’t include you or any of your relatives or anybody you know) facing this kind of occupation duty would be living in hell and would eventually snap.

But no, you morons and you dick waggers just couldn’t listen.

This girl sounds pretty well rehearsed. People are suckers for propaganda. Are you really interested in the truth?  The truth about Haditha:

“That Islamist guerrillas were active in the area was no secret but only now has the extent of their control been revealed. They are the sole authority, running the town’s security, administration and communications.

A three-hour drive north from Baghdad, under the nose of an American base, it is a miniature Taliban-like state. Insurgents decide who lives and dies, which salaries get paid, what people wear, what they watch and listen to.”

“For Haditha, 140 miles north-west of the capital, whether a draft is agreed is irrelevant. Residents already have a set of laws and rules promulgated by insurgents.”

“Alcohol and music deemed unIslamic were banned, women were told to wear headscarves and relations between the sexes were closely monitored. The mobile phone network was shut down but insurgents retained their walkie-talkies and satellite phones. Right-hand lanes are reserved for their vehicles.”,3604,1553781,00.html

There are many good people in Iraq. I have had the opportunity to work with some very brave Iraqi army soldiers and interpreters who risk not only their lives, but also those of their families for just a chance at freedom, but be aware that there also is an evil here that people in America cannot even imagine, let alone fully understand.
Terrorist insurgents constantly use civilians, their own people, as human shields, especially women and children. They know that American soldiers and Marines will hesitate to return fire in these instances, giving the terrorists time to retreat back into the population.

Lets wait for the investigation instead of hoping for the worst so that you can pounce on soldiers moral.

Now that memorial day is over and critiqueless devotions to the troops have taken a breather, I would like to ask:
How many percent of fighting troops are killers who pathologically enjoy their power and the destruction of human life without consequences. How many ordinary soldiers fear those killers and have to adhere to the code of silence?

War brings out the worst in humanity, rarely heroes.  And war leaders rely on the work of killers and support them as long as they can afford it.

It is just that the American public has been brainwashed into thinking that they fight only just wars, that they are the good guys, that an American life is worth so much more than any other life.

The American military was one of the greatest killers of civilians over the last 100 years. Rivaling despots like Hitler and Stalin. It is just not reported because a) Americans don’t really want to know b) those who produce TV and movies don’t want to distract the frail psyche of their listeners from the latest commercial.

In 1945, the American commandant forced the citizens of Weimar, Germany to go through the nearby concentration camp, so that they would see the horror and could not deny the atrocities anymore. But it took an unconditional surrender and the death of 10% of the German population to get to that point.
Empires go their way, wether we like it or not.
As long as a majority of the population is able to lead a decent life, they don’t want to know the atrocities that are committed in their name.
Then the day comes that the empire falls and all the pent-up hatred discharges. Woe to the vanquished.
