DeLay Doesn’t Realize Colbert is a Satirist

Tom DeLay apparently hopes that potential contributors will be more likely to pony up after watching Stephen Colbert’s satiric defense of the former lawmaker’s alleged illegal activities.

To raise funds for his legal defense, Tom DeLay is showcasing a clip of Stephen Colbert “defending” DeLay against the allegations in an anti-DeLay documentary.

DeLay’s only hope is that his contributors are too dim to realize that Colbert is a satirist.

I’m afraid that Mr. Delay has nothing to worry about, as there is obviously no shortage of morons out there these days.  How do you think and his cronies, including “His Hineness” Mr. Bush, get elected in the first place?  The same way we wound up with a “doctor” who doesn’t know how HIV is transmitted as senate majority leader, and other assorted idiots like Sam Brownback (“shitbearer” comes to mind every time I see his name)and the whiners who have been heard to say in legislative session that they feel “discriminated against for being Christian” controlling our congress.

Come on guys, Tom Delay appearing dumb. This raises more questions than we need. TD, defender of the faith, bastion of virture, leader of men, warrior in the good fight, Moral example of everything that is American appears dumb. PLease this is just another smoke screen to throw liberals off track. Rove will ride to his defense, but wait, could Rove be in more trouble than our hero? Uncle Dick will help, but wait, you get the picture. Tom will be busy visiting his friends and co workers Ken Lay and Jeff Skilling in their new government housing. Could careful Tom be sizing up the place for a future address? Please Colbert sounds like Walter Cronkite compared to these Hi-Jink_ers…jmk

As shocked as I am that they posted this video at all I am even more blown away that it has been up for at least a day or two after being featured on Huffington Post and they still have not taken it down!
