Bush's Low Ratings
From ThinkProgress

NBC White House correspondent David Gregory takes issue with Bush’s characterization of his disapproval ratings.

Bush, laughing, says that his ratings are in the toilet because people are “unsettled” during war, but NBC’s David Gregory fires back: “They’re not just unsettled, sir. They disapprove of the job you’re doing.”

Think Progress:

NBC White House correspondent David Gregory interviewed President Bush this morning on the Today Show and asked him why so many people disapprove of the job he’s doing. Bush brushed aside the public’s concern about his policies and insisted that nearly 70 percent of Americans are simply “unsettled.” Watch it.

Unsettled, my ass!  The majority of the people are beginning to wake up and discover what the rest of us feel about you…HATE everything about you!!!

Many of our ancestors were settlers, toiling building, creating.  Now we learn that we are unsettled.  Unsettled over a little old invasion, conversations about torture, the rise of a gang of money-grubbing, power-grabbing men acting out their neurotic fantasies on the world stage, the galloping rise of poverty, job losses, and the icing on the cake, spews of hate filled propaganda against anyone who dares to raise his voice.
Yes—perhaps we are a bit unsettled.
Unlike cats we have only one life—this is it.

Oh the trials and tribulations of leadership.  The job of President destroys many: can Bush intervene in time, before the enemy destroys a great city?  He must hold the enemy off with one hand, while he holds the American people back with the other.  History will judge him, until then He is all the American people have.

At http://bookofsigns.blogspot.com/  there’s a sign along the same lines—found art, if you will—on a Buenos Aires wall.

Bu$h is my emperor, I shall not want. He layeth me down in fields of greenbacks, he leadeth me besides mercury and arsenic
filled waters; he restoreth corporate welfare and tax cuts for the wealthy, he leadeth me in paths of self-righteousness, greed, and intolerance of others;

Yeah, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evildoers (all non-republicans), for he is with me; thy Rove and thy Rice protect me.

Bu$h preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies (all non-republicans), he anointest my head with Iraqi oil and American blood; my Humvee’s gas tank runneth over. Surely wealth and piety shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the white house of Bu$h forever.
