Pink--

In her new video, Pink wages a full-frontal assault on society’s embrace of airheads like Paris Hilton. A cut above most music videos out there.

This is great but the very last shot kinda ruins it for me.  Does the answer to the problem of the stupid girl really lie in choosing football over barbie?  I thought the girl was going to go for the keyboard at first, which would have made some kind of sense since this video is an example of empowerment through musical creativity.  But football?  The epitome of American brutishness and mindless worship of physical conflict?  Sure, girls breaking gender barriers is positive, and the promotion of physical activity is important.  But the last thing we need is more people running around thinking the world revolves around the superbowl.  Pink could have found a much better symbol for the intelligent choice that this young girl makes at the end of the story.

Fantastic. I am actually in tears after watching this. It is so true. So not what was supposed to happen. So very sad.

I love the message in this video.  Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you Pink and to everyone involved in creating this video.  I’m part of the BabyBoomer generation and you have help to restore my faith in humanity.  Thank you again.

This is one of the best videos I’ve seen in the past few years.  Even my nine-year-old gets it.  Wonder if that idiot polluting the White House would.

This woman just keeps getting better and better.

Pink - you never were a stupid girl and never will be.
