Colbert and anti-gay congressman
From Salon.com

“The Colbert Report” host Stephen Colbert interviewing Georgia GOP Congressman Phil Gingrey, who calls the Iraq invasion—without a hint of irony—“the greatest war.”

Georgia Republican Congressman Phil Gingrey seconds Colbert’s motion that homosexuals shouldn’t be allowed to “gay up” the highways.

Salon.com:

Who can make a politician look stupid faster than Stephen Colbert can? No one, that’s who! Watch as he works his magic on Phil Gingrey, a Republican congressman from Georgia, who starts calling him “Steve” by the end of the interview.

Georgia is the state where Ralph Reed is a serious contender for Lt. Governor.  This kind of asinine comment is no surprise.
