Do these guys listen to each other while on TV or do they just read and recite their scripts?
Putnam said several times during this discussion that just ‘hours after the House learned of the more explicit messages they demanded Foley’s resignation.’ They did not. Foley resigned on the first indication of the overly friendly IM’s reported by ABC. The Republican House DID NOTHING!!!
Why didn’t Emanuel jump all over this? This allowed Putman to develop a framework that he would be able to build on throughout this discussion. A framework based on a lie!
A clear strategy of the Republicans is to allow a lie to enter the discussion, not have that lie challenged and voila’ you find yourself arguing against lies and half-truths.
