Tucker Carlson Takes to the Web

Giving the Drudge Report and Free Republic a little competition in the conservative Web space, former CNN pundit (see: “Crossfire”) and bow-tie enthusiast Tucker Carlson has launched his own site, the Daily Caller. That’s “the DC” for short—snappy, Mr. Carlson!

Here’s a little snippet from Carlson’s “Letter From Tucker,” in which he confesses that he and his colleagues “hope you return compulsively.” Hmmm!  —KA

Welcome to the Daily Caller.  Editors’ letters have a well-deserved reputation for undue length and self-seriousness, so in 15,000 words or less let me confirm the stereotype.

Just kidding. I’ll be (by my standards) brief. This is primarily a news site. We see our core job as straightforward: Find out what’s happening and tell you about it.
