Post’s Peyser Slams ‘Muslim Superhero’ Show
Posted on Oct 11, 2010
New York Post scribe Andrea Peyser is very concerned about a series that’ll be counted among the new cartoon network The Hub’s lineup: It’s “The 99,” an animated show about 99 superheroes with special powers based on—gasp!—Muslim values.
This does not sit well with Peyser, who calls on The Hub to cancel “The 99” in her latest column with a not-at-all subtle touch, as she demonstrates in her opening salvo below. Even scarier, perhaps, is the number of people who’ve hit the “Like” button on her column page. —KA
Andrea Peyser in the New York Post:
Hide your face and grab the kids. Coming soon to a TV in your child’s bedroom is a posse of righteous, Sharia-compliant Muslim superheroes—including one who fights crime hidden head-to-toe by a burqa.
These Islamic butt-kickers are ready to bring truth, justice and indoctrination to impressionable Western minds.
