Stephen Colbert announcing his (faux) run for the White House on the Jan. 12 edition of “The Colbert Report.”

On Wednesday, Comedy Central announced that “The Colbert Report,” one of its most successful and perennially popular offerings, would be airing repeats that night and Thursday. Taping of the show on those two days was canceled. No big whoop, except the network didn’t offer much of an explanation for the show’s sudden hiatus, which only stoked the public curiosity and spurred news outlets such as Politico and The Wrap to try to find out more. As of Thursday afternoon, their attempts had resulted in only the same canned response from Comedy Central’s publicity desk, leaving millions of Americans without a crucial source of fake news for another day.  —KA

Stephen Colbert worships at the “cult of the military” far too much for me.

He and Jon Steward masturbated on the air for weeks after Seal Team 6 put a bullet in Osama’s head (without a trial). Remember that even the NAZIS got a trial.

Perhaps they will finally stop showing that annoying advertisement every 20
seconds on the online show. Goes something like, “Losing an X is hard to
do….“I had to finally stop watching because of it. Otherwise, this show is
stellar and unlike anything else.
